My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #65 - Invitations and Announcements

Good morning!  Today we have another fun challenge for you at My Craft Spot along with a great prize to be won!  We are challenging you to create fun Invitations or Announcements for parties, weddings or babies!  Here is my Baby Shower invite!

I made these cute little Cowboy themed invitations in the shape of cowboy hats!  I used my gypsy to stretch and weld the hats from Paper Dolls Dress Up and added a little sheriffs star from Create A Critter.  I then outlined the entire invite with my black journaling marker.  The little star is stamped with part of a sentiment from My Craft Spots New Arrival Stamp Set.

Inside I used the entire "Baby Shower" sentiment and the invite stamps from New Arrival.  These invitations are a little simple but I needed to make a lot in a small amount of time so they will do!  I can't wait to share the fun pics for this Little Cowboy Shower!

You have until next Monday to share your creative Invitations and Announcements with us at My Craft Spot!  Make sure you check out the rest of the amazing invitations and announcements the DT created for your inspiration!  Thanks for stopping by today!

My Craft Spot Post Details

Hello Everyone! Today I am posting over at My Craft Spot.  I am sharing a crafty tip with a card using My Craft Spot's Happily Ever After stamp set. A few weeks ago I posted a Baby Boy giraffe card using the set and today I have a Baby Girl card using the same little giraffe!  Here are the details!

I've been cutting several cuts at a time on my 6x6 paper sheets lately. This way, I don't have the scraps of paper laying around and I can throw a card together in no time when I need one!  We all know how hard even the littlest of pieces are to throw away, but this way, I feel like I got good use out of it and I can throw those tiny tid-bits away!  The giraffe is from the Sugar & Spice Cricut Cartridge and I didn't save it on my Gypsy but I believe I cut 4 or 5 of them at 2.5" each on the 6x6 sheets.

This weekend, those pre-cut giraffes came in handy because I needed a card made quickly.  I started with the little giraffes that I had cut a few weeks ago and placed it on some pieces of MME Oh La La paper until I found the pattern I liked.  Then I picked my layers to match from there, sewed them together, popped this adorable little guy on their with some dimensionals and added my current favorite Baby sentiment (which yes, I know I need to stop using it so much but it works great : )

The Twinery Pink Sorbet and Green Apple Divine Twines matched my colors perfectly so I tied them onto a coordinating button and I was done with my quicky Baby Girl card and off to the Baby Shower!

I hope you enjoyed the card today!  Stop by My Craft Spot to see more great tips and amazing projects from Kimberly and/or the Design Team each day!   Thanks for stopping by today!

My Craft Spot Challenge #56 - Congratulations

Good morning!  The lazy days of summer are almost here!  We had preschool graduation yesterday which means I'm off for the summer now....WOOHOO!!!  Did you all have a chance to meet the new DT members at My Craft Spot last week?  They are all incredibly talented and we are so excited to be working with them this term!  We have a new, fun Monday challenge this week.  It is Congratulations and we want to see all those graduation, new baby, new job, etc projects!  Here is one of mine.

This one is very dear to me.  It is going out for a soon-to-be new member of the family.  We are so excited for this little one so I made a special card for Mommy-to-be!  I used MME Fine & Dandy Boy paper and the little giraffe from the Sugar & Spice Cricut Cart.  I hand cut the little banner and tied it up with some Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine available at My Craft Spot.

I used My Craft Spot Milk Chocolate Crinkle Ribbon and stamped the "So happy for you!" sentiment which is from the My Craft Spot Happily Ever After stamp set.

I also have some little graduation cards to share with you.

I used the My Craft Spot Tiny Tags Stamp Set and Grad Anya and Ian from The Greeting Farm

They are for my little preschool class who graduated yesterday.  They are not as nice as I would have like but I was working on them until 2 am Sunday morning.  I may have procrastinated a little too long but they kids loved them, especially since they each got one that looked like them!

Please stop by and check out the amazing Congratulation projects from the rest of the DT at My Craft Spot and play along for your chance to win a fantastic prize!  Thanks for stopping by!

My Craft Spot Spring Stamp Release Blog Hop

Goodmorning and welcome to the My Craft Spot Spring Stamp Release Blog Hop!  I hope you have been enjoying the beautiful sneak peeks Kimberly and the Design Team have been showcasing this week!  What do you think of those stamps!?!  I'm loving each and every one of them!

You should have arrived from the talented Ally at Rock Paper Cricut.  If not, make sure you hop on over to My Craft Spot to start at the begining of the hop because you are not going to want to miss a stop!  There are gorgeous projects and a set of stamps to be won at each stop...WooHoo!

My first project uses both Happily Ever After and Tiny Tags

It is a baby boy card and I made it to show you how versatile the Happily Ever After Stamp Set can be!  The little toy is cut from B is For Boy Cartridge.

I added a Tiny Tag with some Vintage Blue Bakers Twine.  It is all layered onto MME Portobello Road pattern paper and Stampin' Up cardstock.

Across the bottom I used the "So happy for you" sentiment off of Happily Ever After and tied some Stormy Day Crinkle Ribbon.

Next I have a little spring card to share with you.

I absolutely LOVE the  new Butterfly Kisses Stamp Set.  I couldn't resist using this sentiment this week!  I paired it with the cute little HG Rain, Rain Digi from The Greeting Farm and MME Jack & Jill pattern paper.

I layered the pp panels, sentiment, digi with dimensionals and added some Gold Seam Binding to finish it off!

My last card didn't turn out so nicely.
I saw a card like this at my Stampin' Up Demo's house and thought I could make it.  Well, it turned out to be a lot harder to scraplift than I thought it would!

I LOVE the sweet treat cups, but have a hard time bringing myself to use them.  It took me a while to figure out how to make it stand like a regular card but still get the M&Ms out!

A slider on a 3x3 attached to the card is what I ended up coming up with.

I thought after all the hard work, I would turn this into a Mother's Day Card.  I used the "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment from the new Happy Easter set.

Ok, so what do you think so far?  As promised I have a special stamp set to give away today.  One LUCKY winner will win the Happy Easter Stamp Set!  Please leave me a comment letting me know which is your favorite new stamp set!   I'll draw the winner next week so stop back to see if you've won!

Well, thank you for hopping by today!  There is a copy of the Blog Hop line-up below in case you get lost along the way.  I also added my sneak peeks for the week in case you missed them!  It is time for you to hop on to your next stop to see the amazing work from my talented friend

Whimsical Wednesday Ch #20 - Inspiring Words Challenge

**Click HERE for the My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party**

We have another fun challenge today at Whimsical Wednesday!  You must stop by to see the inspiration photo then create a project/card inspired by one of the words in the picture. You must also include that word on your project/card.  The first word that stuck out to me was "Love" and then I immediately thought of babies, so I made a baby card for your inspiration today!

I'm going to apologize right now for the picture quality.  My camera is on the way to the becoming my kids camera if it keeps this up!  I've been trying to get it to last until Christmas but it is not looking good!  I think I may need to replace it before then!  Here is my Baby Love card

Lately, I have been making all my cards oddly sized.  I have a drawer full of different sized envelopes that I am trying to use.  I'm pretty sure the elephant was from Sugar & Spice cart.  All the papers/cut outs were pulled from my scrap pile!  The sentiment, bakers twine (on the tail) and Crinkle Ribbon are all from My Craft Spot

The Design Team sneak peeks are amazing at Whimsical Wednesday and I can't wait to see what inspired them this week!  Barb from Bug Bites is sponsoring our challenge with her All Year Around Stamp Set.  Thanks Barb!  Please join us for our photo inspiration challenge!  You still have a week to play the Three Times A Charm challenge and you'll have two weeks to play our new challenge!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Welcome Home LO

This week is Design Team #1's week to inspire you at Celebrate the Occasion!  The DT came up with some beautiful projects for Challenge #5!  The theme this week is New Arrival (new baby or puppy).  I love joining in the fun with my fellow design teammates so here is my New Arrival project for this week.  I made a 2 page LO using my Imagine and the Nursery Tails Cartridge.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear New Arrival is laundry...lots and lots of laundry!!  How does such a little bundle of joy create so many dirty clothes!!

My oldest E was 16 months when we brought her little sister home and she was thrilled with her.  The first thing she did was grab her new sister's hand and gave her a High Five!  Then she took notes and started taking care of her baby too!

My favorite part of being a new Mommy is all the snuggling!  I love the way newborns curl up on your chest in their fetal position and you can cup them with one arm.  That feeling is priceless and I am so blessed to have had three little gifts from heaven to snuggle!

I really wanted this LO to make an impact so I popped everything with dimensionals!  I just love the layers and I love the little wooden cloths pins that I found in my stash too!

Products Used:
  • Stampin' Up! CS, Dimensionals and Ribbon
  • Nursery Tails Cricut Cartridge
  • Nursery Rhyme Cricut Cartridge (title)
  • Martha Stewart Lacey Punch
  • Jolee's by You Clothes Pins
  • Signo White Gel Pen
If you haven't done so already, go to Celebrate the Occassion, check out the Design Team's beautiful projects and link up your New Arrival project by Sunday March 20, 11:59pm (EST).  Invite a friend to the challenge too!  We love to see all your cards, layouts and projects!  The winner will be entered into the drawing for this month's prize!  March's prize will be a Rock Princess Cricut Cartridge!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Native Pride Baby LO

Another layout to share for today.  Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #5 is Baby Love.  This LO is for my youngest Es baby book.  These pics were taken when she was just 6 weeks old and she is so tiny (well tiny for her, she was a 9lb baby)!  This is such a special LO because it is with her moccasins.  My children's Nokomis (grandmother) makes each one of the grandkids a very special pair of moccasins when they are born.  Each one is uniquely made for each kid.  E #3's were my favorite and they were brown, red and black.  I was so thrilled when I found this cute onesie that matched her moccasins perfectly that I took about 50 pics!  Here is the LO I made to match her attire that day!

This LO is not completely true to the traditions of their family's tribe.  Their tribe built wigwams not tepees but like I said, I was making the LO to match the attire.

I added a creasant moon just like the onesie and journaled on it.

I placed her Bear with her in the pics and on the LO because she is Bear Clan!

Not your traditional Baby LO colors but I LOVE the way it turned out!  I'm busy scrapbooking today so stop back later for some more fun LOs!!

Diaper Cakes

My favorite gift to give a Mom-to-be are diapers.  I've been the Mom of a newborn 3 times, so I can tell you diapers are the most appreciated gift. It is one thing you can not get enough of.  When I go to a baby shower, I like to give diapers, but I do not like to give them in the standard plastic wrap or as I usually buy them, a cardboard box.  I like to give diaper cakes.  Usually when I tell people this they do not understand what I am talking about.  I get the wierd look of "you're giving someone a cake with diaper?  Does it smell?"  No, they do not smell because they are made with new diapers and it is not a real cake.  Diaper Cakes are diapers folded/rolled and stacked to look like a cake.  My first diaper cake I've ever made was for my very best friend in the world when she was expecting her first little princess a few years ago.   I did not make this one to look like a standard cake.  I was very ambitious not knowing what to expect.  I wanted this one to be amazing and special for my friend so I made my first diaper cake look like a castle!

My second cake I made later that year was for a boy.  This time I was not as ambitous and made a more standard looking diaper cake.  It was a Baseball themed cake and I think it also turned out pretty cute!
