My Craft Spot Spring Stamp Release Blog Hop

Goodmorning and welcome to the My Craft Spot Spring Stamp Release Blog Hop!  I hope you have been enjoying the beautiful sneak peeks Kimberly and the Design Team have been showcasing this week!  What do you think of those stamps!?!  I'm loving each and every one of them!

You should have arrived from the talented Ally at Rock Paper Cricut.  If not, make sure you hop on over to My Craft Spot to start at the begining of the hop because you are not going to want to miss a stop!  There are gorgeous projects and a set of stamps to be won at each stop...WooHoo!

My first project uses both Happily Ever After and Tiny Tags

It is a baby boy card and I made it to show you how versatile the Happily Ever After Stamp Set can be!  The little toy is cut from B is For Boy Cartridge.

I added a Tiny Tag with some Vintage Blue Bakers Twine.  It is all layered onto MME Portobello Road pattern paper and Stampin' Up cardstock.

Across the bottom I used the "So happy for you" sentiment off of Happily Ever After and tied some Stormy Day Crinkle Ribbon.

Next I have a little spring card to share with you.

I absolutely LOVE the  new Butterfly Kisses Stamp Set.  I couldn't resist using this sentiment this week!  I paired it with the cute little HG Rain, Rain Digi from The Greeting Farm and MME Jack & Jill pattern paper.

I layered the pp panels, sentiment, digi with dimensionals and added some Gold Seam Binding to finish it off!

My last card didn't turn out so nicely.
I saw a card like this at my Stampin' Up Demo's house and thought I could make it.  Well, it turned out to be a lot harder to scraplift than I thought it would!

I LOVE the sweet treat cups, but have a hard time bringing myself to use them.  It took me a while to figure out how to make it stand like a regular card but still get the M&Ms out!

A slider on a 3x3 attached to the card is what I ended up coming up with.

I thought after all the hard work, I would turn this into a Mother's Day Card.  I used the "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment from the new Happy Easter set.

Ok, so what do you think so far?  As promised I have a special stamp set to give away today.  One LUCKY winner will win the Happy Easter Stamp Set!  Please leave me a comment letting me know which is your favorite new stamp set!   I'll draw the winner next week so stop back to see if you've won!

Well, thank you for hopping by today!  There is a copy of the Blog Hop line-up below in case you get lost along the way.  I also added my sneak peeks for the week in case you missed them!  It is time for you to hop on to your next stop to see the amazing work from my talented friend

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party Day #5

Today is the last day of sneak peeks at My Craft Spot!   Tomorrow, Kimberly will release all five new sets!  Woo Hoo!  Which one is your favorite so far?  Well, today we are sneak peeking my favorite new set, Butterfly Kisses!  Here is my Sneak Peek!

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this sentiment!  Perfect for my little dirt monsters in the spring/summer.  They love making mud pies and planting with Mommy!  I embellished the card with some Navy Crinkle Ribbon and Blueberry Divine Twine both available at My Craft Spot!

I used my SU cardstock and MME Jack & Jill pattern paper.  The edges are all sponged and sewed down.

The adorable little garden gnome comes from Paper Smooches Forest Whimsy set.  I inked it up with my Copics and layered it to make him pop off the page!

My Oldest E was so in love with this card and the sentiment that she insisted that she needed to give it to her teacher and class for the first day of spring so now this little gnome lives in her classroom!

Ok, so now that you have seen our sneak peeks all week at My Craft Spot, are you ready for the blog hop?  Tomorrow, we will be hoping and there will be fun prizes to be won along the way!  If you missed this week's peeks at My Craft Spot, make sure you stop by and check them out for your chance to win!  I myself have been blown away by the Design Teams work and I can't wait to see what is in store for tomorrow!  Thanks for stopping by today!

My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #6

Mother's Day is this weekend so of course we are honoring the Mom's in our lives this week at My Craft Spot!  The Monday Challenge this week is We Love You Mom!  It can be a card, a gift or whatever you would like to create to show a Mom that you love her!  Here is my Mother's Day creation!
I cut the watering can from Kate's ABCs and made it into a little gift box.  I used the Gypsy to weld the word Mom into the can.

There are metal wires attached on the inside layer to give the flowers the support they needed to stand.

I cut a second watering can and added a box similar to my Thanks a Melon project.  My Little E's picked out flower seed packets to fill the watering can.

Here is the close up of the stamp and the details of the watering can.  The stamp is from MCS Sweet Sentiments Set #1.  Click (Here) to shop all of the My Craft Spot Clear Stamps.  The ribbon is Vintage Style Hand Dyed Crinkle Ribbon and is also from MCS.  There are so many gorgeous colors to choose from and you can click (Here) to see them all!

You Make Me Smile Card

***Scroll Down for Birthday Sundaes #5***
I couldn't sleep tonight so I thought I would put together a quick card for a few challenges.  Do you remember how happy your first bike made you when you were little?  I do, and that was the inspiration for my card tonight!  My oldest daughter got her first bike for Easter several years ago.  She squealed with excitement so I thought this would be a fitting card for Easter or Springtime!
For this card, I needed to add a border, so I used my sewing machine with the thread pulled out to make a nice, even stitch around the edges.   I am also having so much fun playing with my new stamps and ribbon from My Craft Spot!  I am loving this soft Hand Dyed Crinkle Ribbon!  It ties so easily and nicely!

Rain, Rain go away LO

Rain, Rain go away...well, not really!  We actually love to play in the rain!  My girls love to hold hands and sing this song while they play in it!  Today, the rain is too cold to play in but they are enjoying watching it fall!  I think this may be one of the plainest layouts I've ever made and I'm sure it is not finished!  I started it last night but my middle E had a bad dream so I stopped.  I went to lay down with her and never got back up!  When I came back to it today, I drew a blank so it is what it is!  No reason to dwell on it and waste precious scrapping time over it!  I decided to stitch it, leave it be and move on to other projects.  I'm sure when I go to add my picture it is going to change but for now, this is what I have!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #2

**Sorry Everyone!  This post had an error somewhere in the HTML that was affecting my gadgets.  Now I have my blog a big mess because of it!  I will be reposting it later when I figure out where the error code is!

OK, I think I fixed it!  I figured since I had my entire blog a mess that I would pretty it up a bit!  What do you think?  I have been holding out on doing it because my brother offered to design something for me, but I would have to change over to wordpress.  He is so much better with this kind of stuff but I just figured out blogger.  I am not ready to figure out how to use wordpress.   Enough of this and that.  On to the card.

I cannot believe it is Sunday already.  It means it's time for a new challenge at Birthday Sundaes!  First, I would like to thank everyone who joined us for our first week!  I saw one fabulous card after another!  Great job everyone!  I hope you will join us again this week!  Our challenge for this week is a Spring Birthday Card!  Have you seen the wonderful cards the rest of the Design Team created to inspire you?   Let's hope all these Spring Creations will jump start the season!  Here is my Spring Birthday Card!

Uh-Oh...I'm hooked!!!

Yesterday I played with my first digi stamp.  I do not have Copic markers nor do I see myself being the proud owner of a set of them any time soon, so I'm coloring with what I have (and no it is not crayons)!  I have Stampin' Up! Stampin' Write Markers, Pastels, as well as Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Watercolor Pencils.  Besides using the markers to stamp with, I've never really spent much time playing with any of them.  I am going to need a lot of practice at this, but at least I do not have to find a place to hide these stamps...(sorry honey for taking your dresser to store my rubber stamps)!!
I am so happy that this crafting/blogging adventure I've embarked on this year has given me the opportunity to play so much with so many of my tools.  If you haven't noticed, I'm a little addicted to this!!  I see myself having an extra hour or so on my hands at night thanks to Daylight Savings Time (which I am not a fan of).  Unfortunately for me, my kids will still be up by 6am climbing the walls!!
Ok, so enough babbling!  I made a card tonight with one of my new digi stamps.  I found a few I liked at The Greeting Farm.  I love the instant gratification of these.  All you do is click a button and it is at your finger-tips to use, no waiting for UPS involved!!  This digi is called Freaky Flutter and the sketch is from GAB Challenge #6.

I told you that I am going to need practice with this coloring thing but I think she turned out pretty cute for being a newbie job! I pulled her arms out a little to look like she is reaching out for the butterfly!  I even inked the edges of the embossed piece with Whisper White Craft Ink.

Products Used:
  • The Greeting Farm Freaky Flutter Digi Stamp
  • Pink by Design Simply Everything Stamp Set
  • Everything else is Stampin' UP!

Signs of the Time LO

I haven't had much scrapping time today but I did get the chance to make one Spring layout.  This is my Signs of the Time LO.

Last week I won Top Chef at Cooking with Cricut and won a free Digi Stamp!  I have to admit that I've never used Digi Stamps before.  I didn't even know if I would because I didn't have a functional printer.  Well, guess what...I sat up all night last night and got our printer to work with my laptop just so I could play with this Digi!  I wish I would not have done it on the first night of Daylight Savings Time but it is working!!  My coloring skills are a little rusty (I spend most of my time coloring with crayons these days) but I love how cute this little guy is!!

For the CWC challenge there needs to be a time piece on my project so I cut out the months of Spring from a calendar and popped them up on the sides of the title.  I cut the title from a scrap piece of tie dyed looking paper.  I love how it turned out!

This is the first and last time I've ever used Walk in My Garden.  I borrowed it from a friend so it is not loaded in my gypsy (definetly a cart you need the gypsy for)!  The flowers are so cute but they have so many pieces that need cut in different colors!

I can't wait for Spring so I can get some great pics of the girls out in the flower bed!!

  • Stampin' Up! CS (background piece)
  • Scrap Pile Paper and CS
  • Walk in My Garden Cricut Cartridge
