Leaping Lizards - Happy Leap Day!!

Hello Everyone!  I feel like I never have enough time for everything I want to do, so any time I can gain an extra day, I'm happy!!  I haven't play along at Fantabulous Cricut for soooo long so I decided to make a special card for Leap Day with their color challenge in mind!

I used the lizard from Life's A Beach.  The colors for the challenge are the Fantabulous colors
 purple, green and turquoise.

I didn't have a stamp for leap day so I hand wrote my sentiment (I hate doing that but since the day only comes every four years, it would be silly for me to have a stamp specifically for it)!   I finished it off with some Twinery Twine from My Craft Spot!

I also made some special projects with the preschoolers today.   They had a blast making and playing with their "leaping lizards"!

They just coiled pipe cleaners to make their lizards leap!

Thanks for stopping by today!

I was serious when I said Middle E has been a busy little cardmaker!  Here is one more with stripes for the  La-La Land Crafts for Kids, #12 Use Stripes challenge!  She used Ballerina Marci again!  She made a lot more but this was all with stripes for today!  The stars and sentiment are left overs from some of Mommy's projects.  Oldest E has been so busy with thank you cards that she didn't get the chance to play along this time.  I'll be posting her super special project here soon!

Middle E says thanks for looking at her work!!

Birthday Sundaes #43 - Inspiration Photo Challenge

Hello Everyone!  We have a fun challenge this week at Birthday Sundaes starting today !  We have a beautiful (and delicious) inspiration photo for you to use to create your birthday cards but there is a twist...you're birthday card must include a heart!  Here is the card that the delicious photo inspired me to create!

I used Cupcake Anya from The Greeting Farm!  She is just too cute!

I was drawn to the chocolate cupcake in the inspiration photo, so I mixed that with the soft pinks by using MME Lost & Found Madison Avenue PP and some Chocolate Chip Crinkle Ribbon from My Craft Spot!

And of course, the Birthday Card is not complete without a HEART this week!  I wanted a chipboard one, but I ended up freehand cutting this from cardboard, coloring it with a matching marker and glittering it up a bit.  It turned out ok!

So here is the inspiration photo!
Please credit the photo source if you upload this picture!

If you love that delicious photo, please join us this week at Birthday Sundaes!  The DT has some more delicious inspiration for you there!  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

My Craft Spot Valentine Stamp Release Winner

Goodmorning Everyone!  Thank you to all who stopped by to leave a comment on the  My Craft Spot Valentine Release projects I posted last Friday!  I have a winner to announce today but first I wanted to post one more project!    My Oldest E has kid approved the Build a Valentine stamp set!  She had an absolute blast building hearts this weekend for her Valentines with the set!

She also used some of the Valentine Twist Bakers Twine available at  My Craft Spot on her little 3x3 cards.

She added a piece of the K & Co BW Sweet Talk Postage Stamp pp to each one and embossed the background with Swiss Dots!

At first I thought she was messing them up when she tilted the valentine papers but I held myself back and let her do her own thing.  They ended up turning out so cute!

She then used stamps from Always and Forever to stamp the insides.   OK, I know I've been posting a lot of my kiddos projects lately but I have been taking any minute I can to craft lately and most of that time has included them!

So, now for the winner of the My Craft Spot Stamp Set!  Thank you again to everyone who stopped by!  This person wins their choice of any set from  My Craft Spot and if you do not win here, then keep stopping by  My Craft Spot for more chances to win!  Candy and Jayne will be sharing their projects still this month!

The winner is................#2

Birthday Card with Bugaboo Digi

Hello All!  I have a quick card to share with you today.  I had to throw together a card for my hubby's grandfather and this is what I came up with!

I just had to use Gus Birthday - Collect Wrinkles from Bugaboo Stamps.  He is too adorable!

I ended up coloring the sentiment paper with my Crumb Cake Stampin' Write and sponging it because the white I had printed it on didn't look right.  Not sure if I like the streaks but it still looked better than the white!  I really need to add to my Copics collection!

I added a little glossy accents to the glasses and a some twine accent to the edge of the image box!  Grandpa loved it!  I'm entering this into the
Catch The Bug Challenge: February Anything Goes!  Thanks for stopping by today!

100th Day of School

Hello Everyone!  Oldest E's school is celebrating the 100th day of school tomorrow!  She came up with this awesome project to place in her kindergarten class museum!  As she worked, she kept asking if I would put her picture on my blog!  Of course, Mommy is always so proud of her creativity!

She used the Beautiful Wings Embosslit from Stampin' Up and cut them on the Big Shot for her 100 butterflies.  The she moved over to the Cricut to cut the sun from Doodlecharms and I'm not sure where she found the grass.  Mommy helped weld her 100 in the Gypsy (she hasn't gotten welding down yet) and I put the glue dots on her butterflies otherwise she may have been at it all night with 100 of them!    She had so much fun making it and Mommy had fun watching her go through her creative process!  Thanks for stopping by today!

My Craft Spot Valentines Stamp Release

Hello Everyone!  Today is finally my day to showcase the new stamps over at My Craft Spot...WooHoo!!  I've been having so much fun playing with them and mixing them into my projects!!  I worked on all these projects away from my scrap room with limited supplies, so many of them are simple (no sewing this time) but I do love how they came out!  Here are the new stamps if you haven't seen them yet!

I have to say that the Build A Valentine is my fav!  I've been using it on everything from Valentines Day projects to Birthday Cards!  This is going to be long so I'll try not to chat too much!

I wanted to make a Cricut card for all my Cricutee friends out there (yes I am making that a word...hehe)!

I knew when I saw these Conversation Hearts last year that I needed the Simply Charmed cartridge!  I've used that cart like a maniac since and I knew they had to be the first Valentines project this year!

The stamps are both from the new Always & Forever set and the twine is the new yummy Valentine Twist  both available at My Craft Spot

The embossing folder, punch and cardstock are all from Stampin' Up!

Next up is the card I made for the inspiration of all my Digi friends (and Twilight Fans)!

What is Heart Day without a little Edward and Bella......hmmmmmm!!  They are actually Dressy Ed and Dressy Camille digis from The Greeting Farm!  Aren't they the cutest!?!  Again, I used the Always & Forever Set and some Black Seam Binding both from My Craft Spot

I'm also using one of the new Bitty Bags as the envie for this one!  I thought the black polka dot looked great with the MME Oh La La for Her paper pad!

Ok, one last card with just my stamps and punches!  No machinery needed!

This stamp reminded me of the love notes we used to pass around in junior high!!  I used some Rusty Red Seam Binding and tied on a little Valentine Twist Bakers Twine Bow!  The little Valentine Bauble is K&Co!

All the cardstock and punches are SU!  I of course needed to add some doodles to my little love note!!!  Brings back memories!

So, what do you think so far?  I know, they are all missing my sewing machine!  Well I can't end there with just a few cards!  I have one more project to share with you so bare with me here!

What is Valentines Day without some little treat bags!  I love how cutely the Build a Valentine stamps went with these adorable images from TiddlyInks!

This little guy is Little Hopper!  I added some glossy accents to the eyes to make them shine!

Little Squeaker is such a Cutie Pie!!  I added a little glossy to her bow!

Little So and So went so perfectly with the new "Dino-mite!" stamp, don't you think!?!  I added some glossy to his spikes!

I saved the best for last!  This is sweet Little Bear!!  He is soooooo cute!  I would love for him to "Be Mine"!  I added some glossy to his little nose!

These are all little brown bags that I simply covered with cardstock (SU).  I stamp the CS with the SU Sprinkles stamp (retired) to get a patterned look and inked all the edges (I realized after getting home from my crop weekend with them, that I could have just used the new stamp sets to make the pattern effect, each set has a collection of tiny heart stamps!!)  The little Martha Stewart Lacey Punch border was a last minute addition to these little treats.

Each little bag has a coordinating Crinkle Ribbon handle to finish them off!

Happy Groundhog Day!!

Happy Groundhog Day everyone!  Groundhogs Day holds a special place in my heart because it's my Birthday today...YAY and according to Punxsutawney Phil, there will be 6 more weeks of winter...BOOO!  I had intentions of creating a spectacular Groundhog Day card for everyone today, but unforntunately, my little darlings have been down with the flu for over a week now!  Poor girlies, so crafty time has been put on hold!  Thankfully they are on the mends and will hopefully be back to school by next week!  So, since I don't have a new card to show you, I thought I would pull one from the archives!  If you look closely at the bottom, you can see his and the flower shadows...hehe!  I hope you all like it!  Have a great day everyone!
