Teacher Appreciation Blog Hop

Hello Everyone!  Welcome to the Teacher Appreciation Blog Hop!  It is that time of year that we are saying "thank you" to all those wonderful teachers that touch our lives and help mold the minds of our little ones!  I am so excited to be a part of Jen's hop today!  If you are coming from Lisa's Crop & Create then you are heading in the right direction.  If you just happen to be stopping by today and want to hop along, you'll want to start at Jen's blog, Jen's Craft Corner!  You don't want to miss out on the wonderful ideas and the fabulous blog candy!  Here are my Teacher Appreciation projects!

I made a very special little chalkboard bag for a very special teacher!

Here is a view of the dimension!  I folded a strip of paper to make a ledge for the chalkboard.  Then I added a rolled piece of paper for the chalk and used different brands of pop dots on the book and the bookworm.

The bookworm was cut from Create A Critter and I added a Peachy Keen Critter Face.  For the lens on the glasses, I used a dot of Crystal Effects.  I love how they turned out!

I added Cherry Red Baker's Twine from My Craft Spot as an accent to the bag!

I made a set of simple note cards to fill the bag!  I left them blank so the teacher can use them for anything!

My second project are quick little items for the support teachers and helpers.

They are post-it note books made using the same little bookworm and a cute background paper!

Here is the side view of the post-it note books!

and last but certainly not the least, I made these little cards for my kiddos Sunday School and Awana teachers.

They are all volunteers and they do it for the love of the Lord and for the love of the children!  I just had to make a special thank you for them so they know they are appreciated too!

Our Lil Firecracker

I found a fun mini hop today at Creative Cutter Room!   They are having Patriotic Themed Mini Blog Hop in honor of Presidents Day and all the Presidential Birthdays.  How much fun is that, short and sweet so you have plenty of time to create something the same night!!  You collect 4 required elements throughout the hop and use them to create a Patriotic Themed Project!  Here is my project that I made tonight to link up!  It is of course a scrapbook page, because I, like many of you, could do about 10 pages a day and still be behind!!  I am not going to share what the 4 elements are, so you will have to hop on over and see the beautiful projects the DT have created!

Products Used:
  • Stampin' Up Solid CS, Brad, Buttons, Vintage Label Stamp and Punch
  • Firework Paper is LSS Open Stock I had in my stash
  • Car Decals Cartridge for the font

Pinkalicious Blog Hop Challenge

I had such a fun time hopping on the Pinkalicious Blog Hop.  My Pink Stamper will be holding it the 2nd Friday of every month!  I'm so excited because this means I have a fun "date" with my Cricut to look forward to every month!  All the Design Team projects were absolutely beautiful!  I cannot even tell you which was my favorite because they were all so wonderful!  At the end, everyone is invited to join the hop so the fun doesn't stop...hehe!!  This months Pinkalicious Blog Hop Challenge is to use black and your favorite color/colors!  My favorite colors are green and black.  In honor of my friend Cricut, whom without, my craft would not be as great, I made Cricut treat bags!

I loved the way the sparkly black looked with the green but I must apologize to the recipients of these beforehand.  The glitter paper is from Wal-Mart and is not the greatest quality.  It looks nice but it sheds glitter(and I do not like glitter mess).  I am still sending them to two very crafty ladies.  I hope they like them!
I had to use my Imagine and the RGB codes for the Stampin' Up! Green Galore paper because it is retired and I think it is the most perfect Cricut color.  Thank you Provo Craft for the Imagine's ability to do that!!   Well, thank you for stopping by and have fun hopping!!

Love my Bug

So I know I already posted a picture of this card this week.  I am new to blogging and maybe this is against the rules to post a picture of the same card twice but I just loved how this card turned out soooo much.  Since I really love my cricut, I decided that I needed to make more of them lastnight and use them as my Valentine's!!  Not the traditional Red and Pink but I am sure the recipients of these Valentines will love them!

Stampin' Up!  Cardstock
Stampin' Up! Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
My Pink Stamper Buggy Punnies Stamp set
Car Decals Cricut Cartridge
Ribbon is from Michaels
Punch is Stampin' Up!

I may enter this for Fantabulous Cricut's Share the Love this week.   I'm not sure yet.  Maybe after seeing all of the DT projects, I will be inspired to create something different.  Right now I am buried waist deep in wrapping shoe boxes for the preschoolers so we'll see!
