Sham-rockin' St. Patty's Day Card

Another card here using my scraps for Sonia's Use Your Scraps Challenge.  This one went together pretty quickly because I used the sketch from Peachy Keen Stamps.  If you are looking for a St. Patty's Day LO click here.  My only problem is that I can't decide which orientation looks better.  Which one do you like better #1 or #2?

I think I like #1 better!  Now I was quite surprised when I was finished because I realized this green I used for the card base was a very scrappy piece!  Looks like I've got some more work to do!  I'm going to cover it with a white mat on the inside!

Put on Your Dancing Shoes Card

I've been very, very busy today.  Since the maid (AKA Mommy) was sick last week, the monster we know as laundry has taken over the laundry room.  Today, my job was to tackle that never-ending job.  So far I've gotten 8 loads washed and put away but I still can't see my floor!  Looks like I'll be back at it tomorrow.  The girls and I also worked on disenfecting the house.  We don't want anyone else to get sick.  We make a game of it to see who can wipe the most door knobs, then the most light switches, who can clean the most phones, then the most toys, etc.  By making a game of it, everything seems to get wiped down twice which means less germies and they are so busy competing that I have plenty of time to do my cleaning!  It seems to work well!
I still used my kids nap time to get some crafting done.  Here is one of the cards I got done.  This card is a cute little dancing bear made completely from scraps.  I'm still working on Sonia's challenge to use up my scraps.  I do miss my paper pads and my selection of SU paper, but I know once I use up most of those scraps, I'll have a great sense of accomplishment (and some free space to buy more paper...hehe)!  Here is my Twinkle Toes card!

i love u Layout

Another fun new challenge!  Amanda and Melissa are starting a scrapbook challenge called Scrappy Saturday with the Bug Challenge at http://amandascraftsandmore.blogspot.com/.   The first challenge is anything goes.  I am recycling on this layout.
The scallop is the other side of the pattern paper from my die cuttin diva layout and the Hello Kitty and Skunk are from the girl's valentine treat bags (which I will post some time this week).

This picture is of my 4 year old and her "boyfriend".  They have been in love since birth.  He says when he sees her, his eyes pop out of his head because she is soooo beautiful!  They have their entire life planned out.  They say they are getting married and moving into his house with his Mom and then they are going to have babies and move to NYC where he is going to be a policeman and she is going to be a ballerina!  They are so cute together and the little leftovers were so fitting for them because she is a HK fanatic and he is a little stinker!  I Love them Both!!

Basic Grey Pattern Paper
Stampin' Up! CS
Hello Kitty Greetings, Create A Critter, and Twinkle Toes cartridges
Martha Stewart Lacey Border punch
SU heart punch.
SU alphabet stamp set
Nose and Bow on HK are stickles
google eyes on the little skunk

Diva Layout

I'm a newbie blogger so I get excited to come across new challenge sites!  Die Cuttin Divas http://diecuttindivas.blogspot.com/ has their first official challenge this week.  It is a sketch and I know it is probably supposed to be a card, but I really need to work on some layouts so I am entering a Diva layout.

I used the Twinkle Toes Cartridge and my gypsy for the scalloped oval and cut it in the center of the page (I recycled that piece for another challenge).  The crown is also from TT.  Pattern paper is from Basic Grey's Olivia line.  Solid CS is Stampin' Up and the Black Glitter and the Silver Shimmer Paper are both from a LSS.   "diva" is stamped using a SU alphabet set and StazOn.  I used the Martha Stewart Lacey Scallop Border and the only bling in my stash were sequins and stickles which I applied to the crown.  The boa is after an Christmas treasure I found at Target in the gift wrapping section for a little over a $1.

Dance-A-Thon Card and Card for Charlie

I made a few cards before I worked on Baby Shower favors today.  These cards are for 2 very special kids.  The first one is for my niece who is participating in a Dance-A-Thon this weekend.  I wanted to send her a little $ to support her efforts in raising funds and didn't want to just send a check.  I wanted her to have something cute for herself to open and to tell her how proud we are of her for giving her time for someone else!

This second one if for Charlie.  My Pink Stamper had a post today about this special little boy who has a rare condition and is in need of some love and support.  Here is a link for more information on Angela's blog and an address to send cards.

My Pink Stamper Design Team Challenge

Why did I start a blog?????  This is going to be a long entry....
Well, I was surfing the net one lonely night several months ago, looking at Cricut Cartridges and the Cricut Message Boards and then to Hallmark Scrapbooking (anyone who owns a Cricut can see a trend here) when what did I find.  I found the cutest card with the cutest saying stamped on it!  This stamp looked like it was made just for this Cricut Cut.  So where did this come from?  I start looking around and all I could find was that it was from MPS.  What is MPS?  So I hop back over to the Cricut Message Board because if there are stamps that are made to go with the cricut cartridges, someone is going to be talking about it there.  There someone mentions My Pink Stamper.  Hmm...could this be MPS?  I Google it and what I found was a Papercrafters jackpot!!  There was not just one small set of stamps that compliment the Cricut but an entire line of them!!!  Woo-Hoo!  From My Pink Stamper, I found this whole world of very, very talented women who share their world of crafts by blogging!  I'm now addicted!!
So, anyone who knows me, is aware that I'm heading out for a scrapbooking getaway this weekend.  All my bags are packed and I'm ready to go.  Then to my excitement I see that Robyn at My Pink Stamper is choosing 2 new Design Team members.  AHHHH...  I'm so excited, but every essential tool, including my Cricut, is packed.  In order to be considered for one of these spots, you must have a blog, so I decided since it was one of my New Year goals to share my talent with as many people as possible, I will start a blog (just in case I get a free minute to make something).  As the week progressed, I decided I would just wait until next time, but it drove me nuts all week.  Here, I find myself, the night of the deadline, and all of my neatly organized packing is now strewn around my room because I cannot stand the idea of passing up this opportunity.  The challenge is to make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite cartridge using Robyn's favorite colors...Pink, Green, Brown, and a color of our choice.
For my scrapbook page, I used Twinkle Toes which is my favorite cart right now and my additional color is yellow (I hope the black and white do not count).
Solid cardstocks are Stampin' Up!
Yellow Glitter paper is DCWV
Green Glitter paper was open stock from LSS
Ribbon is Stampin' Up!
I added a tulle tutu to my little ballerina to add to her cute factor

This page has a lot of dimension and the pictures just do not do it justice.

I wish I would have taken more time for this challenge (mental note...next time I will unpack the goods the second I hear of an opportunity)!.  At this point the deadline is within the hour and my Blogger is not working.  I do not think this is going to be submitted in time but at least I know I tried.
(MY BLOGGER WOULD NOT WORK ALL NIGHT SO I WAS NOT ABLE TO SUBMIT MY ENTRY.  I GUESS IT WAS NOT MEANT TO BE.  THERE WILL ALWAYS BE NEXT TIME)!
