I was serious when I said Middle E has been a busy little cardmaker!  Here is one more with stripes for the  La-La Land Crafts for Kids, #12 Use Stripes challenge!  She used Ballerina Marci again!  She made a lot more but this was all with stripes for today!  The stars and sentiment are left overs from some of Mommy's projects.  Oldest E has been so busy with thank you cards that she didn't get the chance to play along this time.  I'll be posting her super special project here soon!

Middle E says thanks for looking at her work!!

Hello Everyone!  Middle E has been a busy little cardmaker!  She loves coloring "Lala girls" and wanted to play in the challenge this month at La-La Land Crafts for Kids, #12 Use Stripes!  She used Ballerina Marci and striped the leotards for all her cards!  She was thrilled with them all!

Kiddos Post

Hello Everyone!  I hope you are having a great weekend!  I have been busy working on Birthday stuff for Oldest E's party next month!  I can't believe she is going to be six already!  They grow too fast!  The owls from my last post have been transformed into birthday invitations which means that we now need to make new valentines.  The girls have also been busy in the craft room while I work.  They get bored working on things in bulk so they took a break to work on a few of their own projects!  They wanted to play in the La-La Land Crafts for Kids Contest this month.  The challenge was to use two different ribbons on their projects.  Here are their cards.

Middle E was a ballerina all this week in her pretend world!  Naturally, she picked out this adorable Ballerina Marci stamp from La-La Land Stamps to use on her cards!  Mommy's Birthday is also next month, so she made this for me!  She also made a Birthday card for her teacher and cards for some friends!

Oldest E has been working on thank you cards.  She liked the way Middle E placed a bow in her Ballerina's hair so she wanted bows in Scout Marci's hair too!  That is all from the Es today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Oldest E and Middle E started working on their christmas cards!  They wanted to use Sunny Christmas Marci from La-La Land Stamps.  In the process, we came across La-La Land Crafts For Kids blog and they wanted to play along while they worked on their cards.  They LOVED coloring the images!  I gave them a pile of backgrounds (mostly scrap pieces from last Christmas), a bunch of bases, a few sentiment stamps (from My Craft Spot) and let them have their picks of ribbon.  They really went to town on their cards!  I'm not going to post all they made because I want them to be a surprise for the recipients but they sure had a blast making them!  Here are a few pics!

My Craft Spot Ch #34 - Homemade Flower Power

Goodmorning!  It's Monday but a short week Monday...woohoo!!  No long work week here!  This week at My Craft Spot we are showing off our Handmade Flower Power!  The challenge is to include at least one handmade flower in your project!  I had a hard time deciding wether I wanted to share a handmade paper flower or ribbon flower but in the end the Crinkle Ribbon Flower won!

I made a card for one of the women who takes care of our areas Girl Scouts.  I wanted to get my Oldest E involved in Daisies earlier but it hasn't happened with all the chaos this fall!  Hopefully it will happen next year!  I found this absolutely adorable La-La Land Scout Marci Stamp and had to have it!
Here is a close-up of my Homemade Flower Power!  I knew I had to go with a ribbon flower because my paper flowers are pitiful compared to the beautiful ones the other ladies make with that flower shoppe cart (on my wishlist)!!

The crinkle ribbon ones are easy to make.  I sewed down the length of the Hot Pink ribbon with my sewing machine but you can do it by hand too, then I pulled the strings tight to gather it.

I punched out a 1 1/4" circle (I decided not to use the button sitting there).

Then I adhered the gathered crinkle ribbon to the circle by starting on the outside and working my way in.

Added a rhinestone (yes my poor neglected stash of them) and I stapled a curl of Olive Green Crinkle Ribbon for the leaves.  I adhered that to the back of the circle with a glue dot and viola...a beautiful Handmade flower!

Please come show off your Handmade Flower Power this week at My Craft Spot!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Thankful Thursday - Grandparent's Day Challenge

***Click HERE for the Once Upon Paper Blog Hop***

Hello my crafty friends, and welcome to another Thankful Thursday challenge.  This week our challenge is to create something for Grandparent's Day.  This challenge was a little bittersweet because it was me and my little assistant's last project together before she headed off to Kindergarten last Friday!  We made some thank cards for her and her sisters to give to their favorite Grand P's for Granparent's Day which is on Sept 11 (don't get too attached to this one Mammy and Nokomis because she made a few different ones, I don't want to spoil your surprises...hehe)!

I didn't realize that my assistant had stamped everything on shimmer paper until after she did it.  She really like the "sparklies" on it and worked out ok.  I was going to let her do the sewing again on this TT project, but it got out of control before she got too far and Mommy had to take over and try to cover up her spot!  She used my new "Doctor Marci" stamp that I had won at Fantabulous Cricut from In a Scrap Creations!  I thought this adorable stamp was fitting since Oldest E is on a kick right now saying she is going to be an animal doctor when she grows up!  I used my Stampin' Write Markers to color her.  Since we are talking about my assistants, here are some pics from their first day of school (since Mommy has been so preoccupied and hasn't put them up yet)!
