Teacher's Apple Box Set

Since the end of the school year is upon us, I wanted to make another teacher gift!

Doodlecharms has one of the cutest apples!

I decided to make another box set of cards like my last teacher appreciation project!

The box apple is cut at 6" and the card apples are cut at 3".  I used my Gypsy to weld them into cards.

I added the little tag with Bakers Twine from My Craft Spot and stamped it with a My Creative Time stamp.  The tag was missing something so I sponged it blue (which actually worked out great because now the project fulfilled a Throwback Thurs requirement)!

The little apple shaped cards are stamped with "...just a little note" but it does not show up well in the pictures.

Products Used:
  • Stampin' Up! Solid Cardstock, Stamp, Bermuda Bay Ink
  • Bo Bunny Double Dot Paper
  • Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge
  • My Creative Time I Believe in Leprechauns Stamp Set
  • My Craft Spot Black Licorice Bakers Twine
  • Stickles

Baaa, Baaa Birthday Card

I got a wonderful package in the mail today!  It came from My Craft Spot and it had the most beautiful toys in it!!  I could not wait to play!  Here is a birthday card I made for a knitty friend using the Hand Dyed Crinkle Ribbon and stamps from Sweet Sentiments Set #1 that were in my package!

I was following the sketch from GAB challenge #10 and I was using my scraps from my Camping Trip LO.  I had planned on using the other side of the polka-dot paper but accidentally applied my adhesive to the wrong side...oppsies!  Oh well, it still looks cute and I loved the way the ribbon matched the paper!  I also love how the ribbon tied so nicely on this.  If you look closely, you'll see that it is just a bunch of cheater knots, not an actual bow!

The lamb is double layered and I thought it was a fitting image for a friend who knits.  It also went nicely with the inside sentiment!  I love the quality of these stamps and they stamped so nicely (even over the layers of paper like on the "Happy" part of the outside sentiment).  I added a little tag to the lamb and hand wrote the "Baaa" sentiment.

Here is the card the girlies made with the scraps while I was working on my card!  My Oldest E wanted to cut a little lamb for the card with the cricut but Middle E wanted a baa, baa black sheep.  Looks like Middle E won!  Baby E worked on her normal job of floor clean-up, picking up all the little pieces of paper (some of which I'm sure I will find in her diaper).  The funniest thing I saw was the label on the Cosmo Cricket paper reads "Acid Free. Lignin Free. Fat Free. Sugar Free. High in Fiber. Happy Trails"!  Good to know because Baby E eats a lot of paper...hehe!

Make sure you check out Kimberly's new line of stamps over at My Craft Spot and let her know I sent you!

My Pink Stamper April Blog Hop

It's all about Birthday's this week!  I had so much fun checking out the My Pink Stamper Design Team Projects tonight!  What a talented group of ladies!  The theme is Birthday in honor of Robyn's daughter Katelyn and her 13 Birthday...Happy Birthday Katelyn!  I decided to really step out of my comfort zone for the challenge tonight and actually challenge myself.  Anyone who follows me, knows we do a lot of pink here at My 3 E Scrapbooking.  I have 3 girls, so naturally we make a lot of Girl Projects.  Tonight, I decided to challenge myself and make a boy birthday card...GASP!!  What do you think?

I think he turned out pretty cute! I was grabbing whatever was on my desk tonight!  Now, the first time I saw the (SQUISH) stamp on Buggy Punnies, I was sad.  I couldn't imagine squishing any of my cute cricut creatures.  Then I saw one of Robyn and Karlee's videos, and that is the word they use for HUGS...HOW CUTE!!

Happy Birthday Hubby

Today is my hubby's birthday!  He and his twin sister are April Fool's Babies!  So naturally, we like to play some friendly jokes on each other each year.  Last year I got him good!  I had found an old positive pregnancy test from our last Baby E.  I laid it on the bathroom sink so he would see it when he got ready for work...hehehe!  Now, we've had 3 kids in 4 years.  It is not in our best interest right now to have more any time soon so of course he woke me up in a panic!  I went along with the joke and it wasn't until later in the morning that he realized I played him good...hehehe!!!  I'm kind of worried what he has planned for me this year!
I've been waiting to post his card, because I didn't want him seeing it.  He loved his Grilling Fever LO so much that I wanted to make him a card similar to it.  This is what I came up with!

I would have like to use the hamburger, but I couldn't find a funny or punny stamp to use with it!  Happy Birthday Honey!

Products Used:
  • Scraps of Stampin' Up CS and Scraps of Bo Bunny Double Dot Paper
  • Pink By Design Simply Everything Stamp Set

Snappy Birthday LO

I couldn't sleep tonight so I thought I would throw together a quick LO for a few challenges using my Imagine!

Now I have no clue why I did another page for my Middle E's 3rd Birthday.  I already completed an entire scrapbook for that birthday (Click Here and scroll to the end of this post if you would like to see it)!  I started with a sketch for the PKS challenge but I strayed from it!  Oh well!  You can never have to many scrapbook pages..hehe!

I used the Hopscotch Imagine cart and Life's A Beach for most of the LO.  I did pull a few pieces from my scrap pile.  For some reason, I have double the amount of blue scraps than any other color so I felt the need to use some of them for the water!

I printed this cute little guy out using Hopscotch but I didn't think he popped enough.  I decided to heat emboss him with Red Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder.  I wish you could see it better in the pic but I love the way he turned out!  I stamped a My Pink Stamper Stamp on a label because I thought it was a cute addition!

The title is all printed and cut using the Hopscotch Cart and the banner is from a leftover scrap piece from the LO.  I'm still trying to use my scraps up for Sonia's challenge at Scraps 4 Fun!  I've been putting a pretty good dent in the pile.  Sometime this week I will tally up how many projects I've done so far with them!

Now doesn't this palm tree make you want to pack your bags and head for the Beach!  After spending a few days this past week at the Great Wolf Lodge and Indoor Waterpark, it makes me want to head for the beach!!  I am ready for the warmer weather!  I actually had my Imagine and Expression both going at the same time for this tree!  The palms and sand are printed using patterns from the Imagine More Cards cart and the trunk was cut from scraps using the E!  I also gave my dear sewing machine some attention for this LO!

Challenges:
Scraps 4 Fun Use Your Scraps
Simply Sunday Challenge Pack Your Bags (I would love to head for the Beach...the Lake would do too!!)

Thanks for stopping by!

PS...Can you see my gadgets?  If I view a single post they are there but when I view my whole blog they are gone.  I haven't changed anything and it shows up fine when I go to my Design Page.  Where did they go?  Maybe it is a glitch with Blogger tonight.  I'll play with it later!  Thanks!  ***FIXED IT AND I REDESIGNED MY BLOG WHILE I WAS AT IT!  THANKS FOR YOUR HELP TO EVERYONE WHO RESPONDED!!!***

Signs of the Time LO

I haven't had much scrapping time today but I did get the chance to make one Spring layout.  This is my Signs of the Time LO.

Last week I won Top Chef at Cooking with Cricut and won a free Digi Stamp!  I have to admit that I've never used Digi Stamps before.  I didn't even know if I would because I didn't have a functional printer.  Well, guess what...I sat up all night last night and got our printer to work with my laptop just so I could play with this Digi!  I wish I would not have done it on the first night of Daylight Savings Time but it is working!!  My coloring skills are a little rusty (I spend most of my time coloring with crayons these days) but I love how cute this little guy is!!

For the CWC challenge there needs to be a time piece on my project so I cut out the months of Spring from a calendar and popped them up on the sides of the title.  I cut the title from a scrap piece of tie dyed looking paper.  I love how it turned out!

This is the first and last time I've ever used Walk in My Garden.  I borrowed it from a friend so it is not loaded in my gypsy (definetly a cart you need the gypsy for)!  The flowers are so cute but they have so many pieces that need cut in different colors!

I can't wait for Spring so I can get some great pics of the girls out in the flower bed!!

Products Used:
  • Stampin' Up! CS (background piece)
  • Scrap Pile Paper and CS
  • Walk in My Garden Cricut Cartridge
  • Hello Kitty Fonts Cricut Cartridge
  • Paper Dolls Dress Up Cricut Cartridge

Pink Flamingo Birthday LO

Finally, a post for last Mondays FCCB Challenge Me Monday.  The challenge was Tree Time and it really had me stumped...hehe (like my pun).  Over the last 2 weeks I've posted several projects with a tree as the main focal point but every time I tried this week, something completely different ended up on the paper.  Well, I made this today and it has trees on it so I guess it will have to do.  I made this for our Goddaughter's 2nd Birthday.  Her Mommy threw her a fun Pink Flamingo Birthday Party this weekend!  It was so much fun and all the kiddos had a blast!  I wanted to make her something special to go in her scrapbook for her special day!

These were the awesome cupcakes her Mommy made for the party!  Aren't they adorable!  They were delicious too.  They were strawberry cake and icing made from scratch...mmmmm!

I was excited to wake up this morning and see the CCCC#9 Challenge is Life's a Beach so I can share this over there too!

Make A Wish Come True Snail Mail Card

This was in an email I received yesterday from the Pink By Design Newsletter...

Make a Wish Come True

Today we have been made aware of a little boy in Iowa who is fighting leukemia.  We would like to participate in helping his wish coming true by encouraging all of you to use your creativity to make this happen.  Here is what was posted on our Facebook page:

"Max Low is a 12 year old from Neola, Iowa. He has been battling cancer for half of his life. His doctors recently told his parents to enjoy the time they have left with him. His wish is to get 1 million cards. He has currently gotten about 23,000. If you would like to help Max get his wish, please
send a get well card to the following address: Mighty Max Low, C/O Greg and Bambi Low, PO Box 111, Neola, IA 51559"

There was an article that was written about him in the Omaha World Herald in 2009 you can see it here

I have been very fortunate to be blessed with my children.  I thank God everyday that besides a few broken bones, my kids are generally healthy.  I could not even imagine the pain this family is going through and my heart and prayers go out to them.  I really wanted to make a card to help Mighty Max reach his Max-a-Million goal!  I am going to enter it into several challenges also to try to get the word out to as many people as possible!  Let's help this kid's wish come true!!
I love this fabulous grass paper and also the cobblestone paper that I found in my scrap pile!  My card became more of a "I want to make you Smile today" rather than a "Get Well" card.  Doesn't the Snail sliding down the sidewalk remind you of Spring!  Here is the little Snail Mail message he is carrying!  I'll include my Get Well Message inside the card so it fits into Max's Goal!

Products Used:
  • Stampin' Up! Scrap CS, ribbon and punch for the Snail Mail
  • Scrap Pile pattern papers
  • B is for Boy Cricut Cartridge
  • My Pink Stamper More Punnylicious Stamp Set (snail mail)
  • Pink By Design Scripted Year Stamp Set (cherish today)
  • Signo White Gel Pen
  • Google Eyes
Challenges:
Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge B is for Boy/Sugar & Spice
The Paper Variety Get Well Soon Challenge
Creative Sisters Monday Challenge #3 Think Spring
Scraps 4 Fun Use Your Scraps Challenge
GAB Challenges #5 Color Challenge (Now this challenge was to use Pear Pizzaz, Early Expresso, and Crumb Cake but I did not have any scraps in these colors big enough to make the Snail.  I tried to use a green, dark brown, and light brown to fit into the challenge and I hope this is close enough.  If not, please feel free to remove my link for this challenge.  Thanks ladies)

Wow!  One card, 5 different challenge themes!  I hope this gets the message out there and I hope it inspires you to make a card for Mighty Max so he can reach his Max a Million Card Goal!  Thanks for stopping by today!

This card was a top pick at GAB Challenges
Thank you ladies!

St. Patty's Day Card

I hadn't intended on spending anytime in my craft area today.  I've got the flu but Mommy's do not get sick days.  I can only lay in bed or on the couch for so long before complete chaos takes over the house and I can only play "who can keep their eyes closed the longest" so many times before they lose interest in the competition.  Plus, I have a 1 year old, which means when she is not napping, I have to be somewhat cognitive.  Thank goodness she still loves to nap!!  I've found that I can keep the two older E's interest for quite some time by showing them all your fabulous projects out in bloggerland (and it is minimal energy exerted by me)!  They especially love the blogs with a Playlist.  They always break out in a dance!  The older girls begged all day to "scrap" so here I am with a post for today.  Since my creative powers are at a minimum, I had to combine one card for several challenges.

After making this, my oldest E kept joking around saying "Mommy, are you feeling lucky?  NOOOOO...You're feeling YUCKY...hehehe"  Thanks for the sympathy sweetie!

One of the things I love to do with my dimensionals is use different brands to get different depths.  I used the Stampin' Up! ones on the POT OF GOLD and ones from ACMoore on the sentiment.  I tried to get a good picture so you could see the difference but it didn't show as well as I would like.  I also love these BUTTON brads!  They are from ACMoore and I love to add them when I want a little button!

Products Used:
  • Stampin' Up! CS, Dimensionals and Oval Punch
  • K & Company Sleepy Tree Pad for the GREEN CLOVER and striped paper
  • Recollections Gold Paper
  • Paper Dolls Dress Up Cricut Cartridge
  • My Creative Time I Believe in Leprechauns Stamp Set
  • ACMoore for the Button Brads, Dimensionals and Ribbon (they are all from the stash...I don't remember the brands)
  • Signo Gel Pen
  • Gold Stickles
Challenges:
Throwback Thursday St. Patrick's Day Theme, Use any Older Cart
Cooking with Cricut Challenge-19 Double Take (Use at least 2 PP, 2 CS, 2 Embellishments)

Paper Variety Color Challenge, Use 50% Green

Wow,  I can't believe I got that all into one post!  My bed is calling!  Thanks for stopping by today!

This weeks Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday #49 challenge is to make a shaped card.  I was orignally going to make the tree from my favorite cartridge Create A Critter but then the mail carrier came with my new Simply Charmed Cartridge!  IT IS SO CUTE!!!   I had to use it.  I did still use Create A Critter for the grass and butterfly.  I stiched and stickled it and viola...a Toad-ally Fabulous Toadstool Card!  I just discovered the super cute Scrappy Mom Stamps this past weekend.  Their Terrific Tuesday Challenge from last week was to use Create A Critter.  I think this little guy will work since there is a cute little toadstool on CAC and I did use the cart for a portion of the card!

Some of these cards may be going to my SIL to use as thank you cards for contributors to her March of Dimes Team.  She liked these but I am also working on some with the March of Dimes ribbon for her.  Regardless of which ones she picks, I am also making a batch of these for one of my local Relay for Life team for them to sell to raise money.  The ones I make for Relay for Life are going to be Birthday cards in honor of the American Cancer Society movement for More Birthdays.  My father will not be celebrating his this year but I wanted to do something to help others celebrate theirs.

Our Lil Firecracker

I found a fun mini hop today at Creative Cutter Room!   They are having Patriotic Themed Mini Blog Hop in honor of Presidents Day and all the Presidential Birthdays.  How much fun is that, short and sweet so you have plenty of time to create something the same night!!  You collect 4 required elements throughout the hop and use them to create a Patriotic Themed Project!  Here is my project that I made tonight to link up!  It is of course a scrapbook page, because I, like many of you, could do about 10 pages a day and still be behind!!  I am not going to share what the 4 elements are, so you will have to hop on over and see the beautiful projects the DT have created!
