End of the School Year Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Good morning!  I wanted to share some of the fun End of Year gifties that we made for my daughters teachers.  She just completed Kindergarten and I can't believe how quickly the year passed!  She was inspired every step of the way so we wanted to make sure to show all her teachers the appreciation they deserve!  My daughter and I starting by looking on Pinterest for some ideas (yes that site is sooooo addicting...hehe)!  She picked out several of the projects she wanted to make from there!

First are the gifts she made for her Art and Gym teachers.  They both love sewing so she picked out little sewing baskets for them!   The awesome tutorial for these cuties came from the little blue room!

The card for her Art Teacher was cut from the Locker Talk Cricut Cart and stamped with a sentiment from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags Stamp Set.  The soccer ball card for her Gym Teacher is cut from Life is A Party cart.

Next is the gift for her Music teacher.  He was the hardest to find a craft for.  We ended up coming up with our own gift for him.
We made him some page clips with music notes on them.  She made these mostly by herself.  The scallop circles are punched out with SU punches and I'm not sure which cricut cart the music notes came from.  She found them on the Gypsy.

She had fun working on her gifts for the librarians!  She LOVES the little bookworm so naturally she wanted him on their cards!  She made them little 3x3 note cards because she said they like to write notes : )  The sentiment for these comes from My Craft Spot's Sweet Sentiments Set #1.

She also wanted to make sure she had something special for each one of her classmates!  She LOVES reading so she wanted to make sure to make something each of her friends could use for their Summer Reading, so bookmarks it was!

Their class are know as the T-Birds and being a T-Bird is A BIG DEAL!!   We used the little birdy from Four Legged Friends and welded it to a bookmark from Animal Kingdom.  Then we added the lettering and laminated them so they would last longer.  She kids thought they were so cool and even her teacher asked for a few extras for his special stash!

Our last gift to share is the one she made for her homeroom teacher.  He is an absolutely AMAZING Kindergarten Teacher and such a caring person!  He is hard to make gifts for but the second she found this one Pinterest, she knew she wanted to make it for him.
The tut for this one can be found HERE.  We revamped a little to be fitting for him.  He is a big environmentalist so recycling is part of everything they do in the classroom.  We used as many recycled items as we could.  The container is one that can be re-used in the classroom.  Instead of floral foam, we used the packaging from the markers to stick the markers to and the grass is cut up newspaper.  Even the flowers were punched from my cardstock scrap pile!  She made a fingerprint card and wrote inside "Thank you for helping me grow this year!  I will miss you!"

We had so much fun making these projects together!  She was so proud of each of her little gifts and each of her teachers enjoyed them.  We hope you found some crafty inspiration!  Thanks for stopping by to check them out!

Thankful Thursday - Man/Boy Theme

It is another Thankful Thursday Design Team Day at Crazy About Cricut!  Last week we only had a handful of players.  I hope more of you will play along this week!  Thankful Thursdays are about spending fun, crafty time with your loved ones but anyone/everyone can join in this challenge.  You do not have to have kids.  It just needs to fit the challenge, and will hopefully help you spend time with family/loved ones! The current sponsor for Thankful Thursdays is Post-It and the prize packs have been awesome!  The new theme is Man/Boy, use the word man/boy, or use a man/boy cut in your project!  As usual, we had the perfect project we needed to complete that fell into the Man/Boy category!  Here is our project!

Some of you may know that I am the head coach and coordinator for my local U6 AYSO.  Every week after our games I have at least one kid ask "DID WE WIN?" and the answer is always "Yes" because in U6 we do not keep score and everyone wins!  Well, the next question is always "Do we get Ice Cream?" and as much as I would love to go for Ice Cream every week, I don't think my wallet would like 30 Ice Creams a week!  We decided for the end of the season, we would make each kid and assistant coach a card and add a coupon for a Free Ice Cream!

These are the coaches cards and they will each get one in their team's color!

I am in love with the Cricut Decals cart on the E2!

Again, each of the kiddos cards are color coordinated for their team!

The ball comes from the Life is a Party Cart!

I only had one assistant this week.  Middle E didn't want to help because she can't play soccer!  She is my Miss Attitude!  Baby E is no longer allowed in my craft area due to her new obsession with throwing everything in the trash!  My car keys have been MIA for over a month now and I'm pretty sure some landfill critter may steal my van one of these days!

At one point, my assistant got bored and decided to make her own card!  This is her hula girl card!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #9

It's another exciting Sunday at Birthday Sundaes!  This week we have a super fun sponsor, My Pink Stamper!  The challenge this week is to use 3 circles on your Birthday card and one lucky winner will win a Sport-tastic Stamp Set!  I thought I would make a sporty Birthday card in honor of this fun stamp set!

I don't have the Sport-tastic set so I used the Pink By Design Simply Everything stamp set for my Birthday sentiments!  The soccer ball is cut from Life is a Party and I used my Stampin' Up! punches for my other two circles!

The net in the background was made by crossing Black Licorice Bakers Twine from My Craft Spot!
The Design Team has some great Birthday cards to inspire you so grab those 3 circles and get your Birthday card linked up to Birthday Sundaes for your chance to win the MPS Sport-tastic Stamp Set!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #8

***SCROLL DOWN FOR TEACHER APPRECIATION BLOG HOP***
Welcome to week #8 at Birthday Sundaes!  I am camping this weekend with my family but I managed to put together a quick card to inspire you this week!  The challenge this week is a recipe challenge!!  The recipe is 3 embellishments and 2 pattern papers!  My fellow Design Team members have come up with some amazing cards using the recipe!  Here is mine!

My 3 embellishments are a clip from Stampin' Up!, a feather boa, and black licorice Bakers Twine from My Craft Spot!  I used my favorite paper line Mr. Campy from Cosmo Cricket for my 2 pattern papers!

The buzzard is from Life is a Party Cricut Cartridge.  Thank you Judy for the inspiration for this guy!  Click HERE to see her card!  Isn't he perfect an Over the Hill card!

Both sentiments on my card are part of the clear set from My Craft Spot called Inside & Out Set #1 which has a sentiment for the inside and outside of your card!  How cool is that!

I hope you will join us this week for our recipe challenge at Birthday Sundaes!  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!  Thanks for stopping by!

Rain, Rain go away LO

Rain, Rain go away...well, not really!  We actually love to play in the rain!  My girls love to hold hands and sing this song while they play in it!  Today, the rain is too cold to play in but they are enjoying watching it fall!  I think this may be one of the plainest layouts I've ever made and I'm sure it is not finished!  I started it last night but my middle E had a bad dream so I stopped.  I went to lay down with her and never got back up!  When I came back to it today, I drew a blank so it is what it is!  No reason to dwell on it and waste precious scrapping time over it!  I decided to stitch it, leave it be and move on to other projects.  I'm sure when I go to add my picture it is going to change but for now, this is what I have!
