My Craft Spot Anything Goes Challenge

Good Morning Everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend!  We spent the weekend scrapping and relaxing here!  I spent the previous weekend at my annual crop with a group of very talented friends!  It is always an enjoyable trip and a great way to kick start the New Year in a scrappy way!!  We spend the entire weekend scrapbooking, chatting and eating at a B&B!  No cleaning, no cooking and no crying kids (or husbands)!  You can't get any better than that...haha!
Anyway, we have a fun new challenge this week at My Craft Spot!  It is everyones favorite, Anything Goes...YAY!  I thought I would share one of the pages I made on my trip for your Anything Goes inspiration!  It is a warm change from all the winter/valentines projects lately!

This picture is one of my favs from our trip to the Zoo this past summer.  I used the January Artful Delight's sketch for inspiration on this LO.  I was going to play along with that challenge but I did not get it entered in time!

The paper is Bo Bunny and cardstock is from SU!  I used bright colored My Craft Spot Crinkle Ribbon for an accent on the Title block!

I doodled all around the the blocks with my Journaler pen and added a banner with some Bakers Twine from My Craft Spot and scraps of Bo Bunny Double Dot!  I love how bright and cheerful this LO turned out!

Please stop by My Craft Spot and check out the rest of the amazing projects the Design Team created and play along with our Anything Goes challenge this week!  Don't forget that the Design Team is taking turns sharing their projects using the new My Craft Spot stamp sets for a few more weeks!  There are chances to win, so be sure to stop by and check them out!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Thankful Thursday Monsters Mash Challenge

Hello Everyone!  Sorry I'm posting late today!  This week we have a super fun challenge at Thankful Thursday for all your little (or big) monsters!  It is our Monster Mash challenge and we want to see you making a project with a monster on it for/with your little or big monsters!  Here is our project!

My older girls like to call their little sister "Baby Monster" because she likes to destroy things!  Even our preschool class calls her Baby Monster because she likes to make a mess at the school then they have to clean it up!!

Oldest E wanted to make something for Baby Monster but unfortunately everyone came down with the flu in our house.  I threw this together yesterday while everyone was sleeping.  We were sad we couldn't make something together but everyone was happy with the end product!

I needed some inspiration, so I attempted to use the October Sketch from Artful Delights (ASC #13).    All the paper and monsters are from My Little Shoebox's Imaginary Friends line.  The rest of the Thankful Thursday Design Team have come up with some amazing Monster Mash projects!  Please join us at Crazy About Cricut for our fun Monster challenge!

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #17 - Sense Of Humor

Click HERE for the Birthday Sundaes Cakes & Cupcakes Blog Hop

Hello!  It's the first Wednesday of the month which means we have a new Scrapbook challenge for you at Whimsical Wednesday.  Our new challenge is "Sense Of Humor" Your scrapbook page must include something funny (photos, images) and or include words that relate to humor such as: laugh, giggle, chuckle, funny, hysterical.  Sounds like fun!  I'm sorry, but I didn't even think I would have a layout to share today but I managed to throw together something to share with you at the 11th hour...hehe, I think we all know how that goes!  Here is my layout using some funny pictures of my Oldest E.

She received this name at a very young age.  These are the kinds of get-ups I would find her in when I would check in on her during her naptime!  That is pink permanent marker all over her face in the bottom picture!  Not funny at the moment it happened but I snapped a picture at the time thinking it would be a great (and funny) reminder for her later in life!

I grabbed this cute paper from my stash and threw the pictures on with very little detail and layout done for today!

Stop by Whimsical Wednesday and make sure you go see all the amazing examples from the very talented Design Team!  I hope you'll play along with us and our "Sense of Humor" scrapbook challenge!  I can't wait to see the funny pictures you share!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Knoebels Scrapbook

I love when I can get myself motivated to get a group of pages done.  This was one kit, in one week, one trip scrapbooked with the inspiration from one sketch!  The kit and sketch are both from Artful Delights!  So exciting to have it done!  Now I can move onto our trip there in 2008!  Maybe by the end of the year, I'll be able to scrapbook our trip from this year..hehe!  We'll see!  I don't want to get too carried away!  This is Oldest E's first trip to Knoebels Amusement Park.

They are in the order they'll be in the book.  I have an entire scrapbook with plans for pages from every year we go to this park!  So far there is a 2006 trip, part of a 2009 trip and now this one!  Besides a few of the page bases, most of what you see is from the July Artful Delights kit.  I have a few scraps left to make a some cards and there are 3 sheets of whole paper which will be hoarded...hehe!  OK, maybe I'll use them!  I'm trying not to hoard my paper so much anymore!  I am linking up the first page to Artful Delights July sketch challenge.  Thanks for the inspiration!  They went together so easily.  If I had known kits made it this easy, I would have been buying them a long time ago!  The last page for this trip (and my favorite) can be seen HERE!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Honor the Earth LO

Another project to share today!  Here is the layout I was working on earlier.  It was originally going to be a camping LO until I found that pictures that I wanted on it and it took a different turn.

It ended up a lot plainer but it has so much more meaning!

Lots of dimension, lots of inking on the edges (although it doesn't show up that well in the bright sunlight)!

The tag lifts up but I didn't realize until I loaded it here that you can't really see it that well.  No challenges for this one, just something to share!  I'm loving Camping Critters!  All the cuts come from Camping Critters and the paper and ink are Stampin' Up!  Speaking of ink, don't forget that we are Inking it Up at My Craft Spot this week!  We'd love for you to join the fun!

My First Trip LO

***Click HERE for Whimsical Wednesday Interactive Fun or Scroll Down (this LO is going in the same scrapbook)***

I was a busy scrapbooker this weekend.  I have been having so much fun with my Artful Delights July Kit.  Here is another layout that I wanted to share today for the same trip as posted earlier today using the same kit and the same sketch!

I really like the way this one and the Interactive Fun LO look together in my Oldest E's scrapbook!  I flipped the sketch with this one.  I hope that is permitted.

Here is what the sketch looks like

All of the embellies come from the kit (even the journal tag not shown here...it is the cardboard from the box the kit came in sprayed with the Maya Mist)!  The only item not from the kit is my Crumb Cake background paper which is SU!

I have continued scrapping this trip with these papers/sketch.  They have gone together so quickly, that I'm sure I'll have most of the pics from the trip scrapbooked by the end of the week (How exciting is that...a 2007 trip finally done...hehe)!  Let me know if you want to see more of these pages, otherwise, I'll spare you from having to see them all!  I haven't decided yet, but this one may be the one that I link up for the Artful Delights July Sketch Challenge.   Thanks for the fun inspiration and thanks for stopping by!

Some Interactive Fun

Welcome to Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #14.  This week is our Scrapbooking challenge and we are having Some Interactive Fun!  We have created scrapbook pages in any theme that include something on it that moves or is interactive!  Here is what I created for your Interactive Fun inspiration?

I used a kit and sketch from Artful Delights.

Can you see my Interactive Fun?

It is the hot air balloon!  Notice it is in a different position!

It moves up and down the bakers twine line!

Up, up and away!!

I'm sure there were many different ways to get it to move but this is the mechanism my crazy brain came up with in the wee hours of the night!

This is what I had after stringing up my twine to the buttons!  I used Glue Dots to get a strong hold between the buttons and the page.  I don't want my hot air balloon to float off...hehe!

I added some stickles to my chipboard embellies to make them sparkle and used a Sweet Sentiments Set #2 stamp from My Craft Spot to add some fun!  I  stitched a border around the outside with my machine and faux stitched the circle.

Some last minute additions, ribbon accents to the tag and some buttons in the corner.  I didn't journal on this page because it is going into a book filled with pics of this day.  No need to journal every one of them!

My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #16 - Ink it Up

Happy Monday everyone!  It's another fun challenge at My Craft Spot!  This week we are Inking It Up for our Monday Challenge!  We want to see ink on your projects!  Have you seen the amazing examples from the DT?  I am so lucky to be working with such a talented group!  Well, as soon as the forth of July passes, my mind immediately goes to fall!  I love the weather, the beautiful colors and all the fun sports, so naturally, I can't wait to get started on my fall crafts.  Here is the layout I came up with!

You see those strips of paper that I have been using to journal with all the time lately?  Well, I don't use them because I neccesarily like them.  They are all the leftover strips leftover from cutting down my paper to be card mats (you know, that 1/2" strip you get when you cut the 8.5" x 11" paper into four 4" x 5.25")!  If you sell SU (or sell your cards in bulk) then you will definetly know what I mean.  Well, I have thousands of those strips because I felt wasteful to throw them away!  Now I am using them and feeling good about it!

I inked it up with my favorite Stampin' Up! stamp, Inspired By Nature.  Doesn't it look gorgeous on the newsprint DSP?   I've been using it like crazy now!

Here is another angle.  I used Sweet Sentiments Set #1 on this corner.   I can find a reason to use this set on almost everthing I do!  Can you tell it is my favorite?

...and my sewing machine is about to get tossed out the window after this one!   I didn't do a close up of that special spot!  I used some Vintage Green Bakers Twine from My Craft Spot over in this corner and everything was sponged with Soft Suede ink.  This LO inspired me to make a set of cards which I am donating to a very special friend of my daughter's!  What do you think?

OK, so now that you have seen me Ink it Up today, I hope you'll join us at My Craft Spot with your Ink it Up project!  Everything on these is from My Craft Spot or Stampin' Up so I am not going to go through all the details (but please contact me if you want them)!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Thankful Thursday All-American Blog Hop

Hello Everyone and Welcome to your last stop on the
 Thankful Thursday All-American Blog Hop
We are celebrating the All-American Summer with 4th of July, BBQs, and so much more!  There are fun projects and blog candy to be won along the way so please hop along with us!  If you hopped here from Leah's blog Leah's Card Designs then you are heading in the right direction! ***Leah must still be having blogger problems today so if you came from the talented Ruby Rose then you are still in the right place, stop back later to see Leah's fun project***  Aren't my fellow teammates amazing!!  If you just happened to stop by to see me today (thanks), you'll want to start at the beginning of the hop with Jenny at Crazy About Cricut!  So, enough chitty chat...on with my project!

Since I've been posting 4th of July projects all week and our Hop theme was "4th of July, BBQs and more", I thought I would mix it up a bit and create a project that falls into the "and more" category!  I made an All-American Summer Vacation layout!

This year our All-American Summer Vacation means heading to the Jersey Shore!

I'm really excited because we haven't even made it to the beach yet and I already have some LOs ready for pics (which I'm sure there will be a ton of pics)!

I used the Imaginisce Splash Dance paper line for my LO.  The title is cut from Life's A Beach and I added a few buttons tied with colorful Bakers Twine from My Craft Spot!

This adorable Jellyfish guy was cut from Once Upon A Princess (are you wondering where the jellyfish is on that cart???).  It is a cupcake top that my Oldest E stretched with the gypsy, cut, added some google eyes and drew a cute little face on him!

We added some Pink Sorbet Bakers Twine and I tacked it down in the swirly design with Tombo Multipurpose Liquid Glue (just little dabs, a small amount goes a long way).

I was a little sad that some of the original chipboard stickers disappeared from my LO.  I am guessing since neither of the girls would confess and/or rat the other out, that they must have been partners in crime!  There was an adorable chipboard crabby here but since I have not found his new hiding spot, I had to use some of the puffy stickers.  Still cute, just not as cute as the original element!

Again, I had a really cute school of fish up in this corner which magically disappeared!  Lesson learned, take a pic immediately upon finishing a LO so my little scavengers do not have time to snatch the goods...hehe!

While we worked on the LO, the girls and I talked about the beach, and they drew me pictures of what they think our All-American Beach Vacation will be like!

We added their pics to the LO until I have the real ones to put on there!  I know it will look a lot better with the real pictures but any Mommy knows that these pictures tell a story just like the real ones will!

OK, so who wants some BLOG CANDY?  Today I have something fun for you!  I have a 30 yard spool of Black Licorice Baker's Twine from My Craft Spot, a set of Imaginisce Splash Dance Rub-Ons, and a Stampin' Up Stamp Set!
