Hello Kitty Birthday Blog Hop

Aloha and welcome to our Hello Kitty Birthday Blog Hop!  It's Cely's birthday at Hawaii Paper Party and we're all celebrating by making Hello Kitty or birthday themed projects!  You should have arrived from Kelly at Possibilities in Pink blog, but if you've stumbled on this blog hop, please go back to Cely's blog at Hawaii Paper Party so you don't miss out on all the fun!

We are huge Hello Kitty fans in my house!  With 3 girls, how couldn't we be!  The Hello Kitty carts are the ONLY cartridges I've ever paid full price for.  I couldn't wait and bought them the second I saw them on the store shelf!  I am drawn to anyone who uses the fabulous Hello Kitty Cartridges so naturally, the day I stumbled across Cely's Blog, I knew we would be great bloggy friends!

I have two projects to show you today.  My first project is just a very simple Hello Kitty layout for your inspiration!  The second project is Cely's Birthday card so no peeking at that one Cely ; )
The title is cut from Hello Kitty Fonts and the HK's are from Hello Kitty Greetings.  These pictures were taken over the course of a day while the girls were on a wild Hello Kitty Adventure.  They had a snow day (even though a snowflake hadn't fallen yet that morning) but by afternoon they were building snowkitties!  Unfortunately, their Jeep doesn't have 4 wheel drive..hehe!

Here is the close-up of HK and her narration of events!  I love how easily the Hello Kitty characters go together with this cart!

I couldn't resist a huge HK head on this LO.  You can't see it that well in the pics, but it matches Oldest E's hat perfectly!

Close up of the title and my doodling on the border.   I used my Gypsy to weld the shadow letters together for the title then faux stitched it.  All the paper on this is Stampin' Up!

Now, for Cely's Birthday Card.  What is a Birthday Blog Hop without a card for the Birthday Girl!!  I wish I had gotten this in the mail before I left for vacation but I never made it to the Post Office.  It will be a little late so close your eyes Cely!  I hope she likes it!

This Hello Kitty is one of my favs!  She makes such a cute butterfly!  She is cut from the HK Fonts cartridge out of Stampin' Up! paper.  The background paper is My Minds Eye which I found for an awesome price at Shop Pumpkin Spice!

The "Celebrate" sentiment is from a WRMK stamp set called Maple Grove.  The "Happy Birthday" stamp and Pink Sorbet Baker's Twine are from My Craft Spot!
Speaking of My Craft Spot, who wants some Blog Candy!  I am giving away a special set of Hand Dyed Crinkle Ribbon from My Craft Spot!  Honestly, the first time I saw this Pajama Party Set, I immediately knew it was meant for Hello Kitty!!  I don't know what it is, but the colors Black, White, and Pink scream HELLO KITTY to me!
To be eligible for my blog candy you must leave me a comment telling me what you love most about Hello Kitty!  My only requirement is that you must stop back on Friday August 12 to see if you won!

Be sure to visit all of the blogs in the hop to be eligible for the Grand Prize!  All you have to do is be a follower of all of the talented ladies in the hop, leave each of us a comment, and go back to Cely's blog to link up with InLinkz and Mr. Blue Frogger!  Below is the line-up in case you get lost along the way!

OK, I've taken enough of your time today!  Thanks for stopping by and a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to CELY!!!  I hope your day is as fabulous as you are!!

Adorable projects, Amber, as always! I love Hello Kitty!! Mostly I love her now because of the fond memories it brings back to me as a kid. There was a display set up at our local dept store, so when my mom would DRAG me shopping, she'd drop me off at the Hello Kitty display and I'd be mesmerized for quite a while. I'm sure I conned my Mom into an adorable item here or there. I remember having lots of little tiny notebooks and note pads. I had a paper obsession even back then-LOL! Have a great week! :) ~Jen http://happyplaceforjen.blogspot.com/

Man Oh Man! I have ALWAYS loved Hello Kitty since I was a baby and it has carried on til this day! I buy anything Hello Kitty related that I see. I remember when I first saw the Hello Kitty Cricut Cartridge, I was so tempted to buy a Cricut just so I can buy the cartridge!! Hehe! And til this day, whenever I have a friend or family member see something Hello Kitty! They automatically get it for me!! I told my husband he's lucky we had a baby boy, or else he would be pushing around a hello kitty stroller!!!

Anyways! I absolutely love your LO and totally adore your Card!!

Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win!

Amber your projects are great! I think Cely will love your card. (Don't feel bad, my gift and card to her will be late also.) I think the best part about Hello Kitty is that fact you can't look at her and not smile, it's just not possible!

Wow... great job on your cards! Hello Kitty just makes me happy, the memories it stirs, love her button nose and she always has a pink bow, or pink flower... it changes to fit her situation. Thanks for the hop, and I am your follower!

What great projects, Amber! The Hello Kitty carts are so FUN, and you did such a great job on both of these! I'm sure Cely is going to love the pretty card you made for her. Lucky gal! :) Love the doodling you did on the layout also. I love doodling on projects, too! The crinkle ribbon is absolutely fab! Gotta love that color combo. What I love most about HK is that sense of girliness about her if that makes sense! I love the HK colors and also the sense of nostalgia since I've been a HK fan since I was a little girl. Thanks for the opportunity to win, Amber! =)
