Thankful Thursday Mother's Day Theme

Hello Everyone!  Welcome to my very first post with the Thankful Thursday Design Team at Crazy About Cricut!  This week we are having fun with Mother's Day projects!  I have to say that my girls are so thrilled about being a part of this DT!  I asked them what they wanted to make for their grandmothers for Mother's Day and they wanted to make them some paper dolls.  I think the grandmommy's will like having a set of dolls at their house!  I thought we would try making them with the Imagine and the Best Friends Cartridge on magnet paper, rather then our regular paper dolls.  Here is what we made!

Middle E was in charge of picking out the dolls.

Oldest E was in charge of picking some backgrounds...

and she was in charge of the cutting!

She couldn't wait to see them so she was watching the back of the Imagine for them to come out!

Make sure you use a new mat because otherwise the magnet paper doesn't stick and you'll be hand cutting like we were for one set.  Also, they do not print that brightly on the glossy paper setting.  I ended up printing them on the regular paper setting and they dried ok with no smears!

Here is what we ended up with!

I had some of these Stampin' Up! tins so I thought they would make a nice house for the dolls.

There are several different backgrounds...

and different dolls to play in those backgrounds.

They can play in their tin...

or on the fridge...

and when they are done playing they all pack up neatly in their tin!!

Products Used:
  • Best Friends Imagine Cartridge
  • Staples Brand Magnet Paper (You can also find it in an Avery brand)
  • Stampin' Up! Tins
  • Miscellaneous buttons and knick knacks from my stash
  • Lots of Love!!
My girls and I had so much fun making these and I know they will bring hours of fun with their Mammy and Nokomis!
We have an awesome prize this month at Thankful Thursday!  It is a Post-it prize pack so make sure you head over to Crazy About Cricut, check out the other wonderful DT projects and link up your family project for Mother's Day!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Great Job. I guess we think alike. Love the way they look in color. The backgrounds that go with them are pretty cool. I'm almost finished with a set of these I've been working on with EDPD and my expression. Can't wait to post.
