Kiddos Post

Oldest E and Middle E started working on their christmas cards!  They wanted to use Sunny Christmas Marci from La-La Land Stamps.  In the process, we came across La-La Land Crafts For Kids blog and they wanted to play along while they worked on their cards.  They LOVED coloring the images!  I gave them a pile of backgrounds (mostly scrap pieces from last Christmas), a bunch of bases, a few sentiment stamps (from My Craft Spot) and let them have their picks of ribbon.  They really went to town on their cards!  I'm not going to post all they made because I want them to be a surprise for the recipients but they sure had a blast making them!  Here are a few pics!

Happy Fall Y'all!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who is celebrating today!  Today is also our Baby E's 2nd Birthday!  Happy Birthday to our little Turkey!!  I wanted to share her birthday invitation I sent out for her turkey themed birthday party (which is not being held today)!

The darling image is from Simply Betty Stamps which I bought after reading about her son.  The ribbon and sentiment are from My Craft Spot.  The inside is stamped with another sentiment from My Craft Spot, "Gobble Gobble"!  That is our turkey's favorite word right now!!

Here is our little 2 year old turkey today...sorry for the terrible pic, my camera is in terrible shape!

This is the card Oldest E made for her little sister!  The inside is absolutely priceless!  She wrote a little message to her sis but it is in white ink and doesn't show up in the pictures but it is cute.  It is in a five year olds spelling and it says..."Eva, Hapbe Birday!  Sellabrat!  I Love You!"  So cute!

Well I hope you and your families have a very Happy Thanksgiving and for those of you not celebrating today, have a fabulous day!  Thanks for stopping by!

My Craft Spot Ch #34 - Homemade Flower Power

Goodmorning!  It's Monday but a short week Monday...woohoo!!  No long work week here!  This week at My Craft Spot we are showing off our Handmade Flower Power!  The challenge is to include at least one handmade flower in your project!  I had a hard time deciding wether I wanted to share a handmade paper flower or ribbon flower but in the end the Crinkle Ribbon Flower won!

I made a card for one of the women who takes care of our areas Girl Scouts.  I wanted to get my Oldest E involved in Daisies earlier but it hasn't happened with all the chaos this fall!  Hopefully it will happen next year!  I found this absolutely adorable La-La Land Scout Marci Stamp and had to have it!
Here is a close-up of my Homemade Flower Power!  I knew I had to go with a ribbon flower because my paper flowers are pitiful compared to the beautiful ones the other ladies make with that flower shoppe cart (on my wishlist)!!

The crinkle ribbon ones are easy to make.  I sewed down the length of the Hot Pink ribbon with my sewing machine but you can do it by hand too, then I pulled the strings tight to gather it.

I punched out a 1 1/4" circle (I decided not to use the button sitting there).

Then I adhered the gathered crinkle ribbon to the circle by starting on the outside and working my way in.

Added a rhinestone (yes my poor neglected stash of them) and I stapled a curl of Olive Green Crinkle Ribbon for the leaves.  I adhered that to the back of the circle with a glue dot and viola...a beautiful Handmade flower!

Please come show off your Handmade Flower Power this week at My Craft Spot!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Birthday Sundaes #36 - Use Old/Neglected Stash Sponsored by Karen Doodles

It is Sunday and time for another Birthday Sundaes challenge!  This week's challenge is to use your old/neglected stash on your birthday card (that way you'll have more room to replace it this holiday season...hehe)! Remeber that it must have a birthday sentiment/wording on the card front!  We have a fun sponsor Karen Doodles who has generously shared a few digi images with the Design Team...THANK YOU!!  One lucky winner will win their choice of 3 digi images!  Here is my birthday card using Fairy Princess from Karen Doodles

I don't know about you but my black/white scrap pile is my most neglected portion of my stash!  I never grab for it because it is such a mess plus my girls tend to use it heavily!  The white backgroud piece was so scrappy that I had to cover it with a rainbow of My Craft Spot Crinkle Ribbon!

This is how scrappy that white piece was.  I have some old dimensions on one side and the kids had drawn on the other!!  All I did to cover it was run a line of adhesive down the length of it, applied the ribbon and repeated with each color!  Now it is a fun birthday card!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Fairy Princess image!!  Don't you just love her?  My other piece of neglected stash included in this card are my adhesive backed rhinestones.  I have so many of them and never use them.  The pink ones are so old that the adhesive has dried up on most of them!   Another one of my neglected items, my Stampin' Up Stamps!  The "Birthday Wishes" is from an old Hostess Set.  I have a whole dresser of them and never get them out any more!  I think I need to change that!

Please join us at Birthday Sundaes by using your old/neglected stash on your birthday card this week for your chance to win your choice of 3 super cute images from Karen Doodles!  Thanks for stopping by today!

A Twi-Color Combo Challenge

I've really been missing my computer friends lately!  Today was the first in a long time that I have had time to spend hopping around!  Usually, I spend my spare minutes commenting but I get so chatty, that I miss out on a lot (one of the side-effects from spending all day with kiddos)!!  Today instead of spending my time commenting, I just browsed my favorite challenges (which I haven't done in forever) and found that so many of my friends are now a part of my favorite Design Teams!  WooHoo ladies!!  Next week while I am off I will try to stop by and leave some love!
Speaking of love, I have a new found love...ok it is more of an obsession, with The Greeting Farm stamps.  They are just too cute!!  I just had to play along with their TGF Farm Fresh Challenge this week!  The Monday Fun-Day #7 challenge is a Twi-Color Combo challenge!  EKKKK!!!  I can't believe it is here!!!  Tomorrow night at this time, I'll be sitting in the theather with my bestie!!!  YES, I AM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE...hehe!  Ok, so here is my Red, Black and White/Silver card!

I threw a few of these together quickly today for the ladies joining us in honor of the Breaking Dawn Release!

I used TGF Dressy Edward and TGF Dressy Camille on SU shimmer paper for my Edward and Bella!  Can you see the sparkle on dear Edward?

The paper is all SU and the sentiments are Artful Inkables Fictionally Inspired set.  I'll most likely be sharing a few more Twilight inspired creations next week!  So there it is, my secret is out!  If you are a fan too, make sure you check out the inspiration from TGF DT this week at the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog!  Thanks for stopping by!

My Craft Spot Blog Hop Winner

Hello Everyone!  I have a winner to announce today, but first, I need to share some pics of my little trick or treaters!  I've had the flu and missed Halloween but I did manage to take this pic before the two younger Es made their way out!  I hope my mom took more pics!  Dorothy and the Little Munchkin were so cute together.  Oldest E dressed up like Butterfly Fairytopia (that was her name for it, you can see her below in her costume)!

This was them 2 weeks ago at a 5K where they all dressed up like butterflies!  They were definitely the cutest runners out there!!

A lot of people asked where the CD tin for my blog hop project came from.  Honestly, I have a drawer full of them in my craft room (yes I know I sound like a hoarder there..hehe)  The one I used for this project was from either Stampin' Up or from Ben Franklin's craft section.  There are so many places you can find them.  You can even buy them in bulk by searching CD Tins online.

OK, enough of my chit chat!  The winner of this new super fun stamp set from My Craft Spot is.....

My Craft Spot Blog Hop

Hello Everyone and welcome to the My Craft Spot Christmas Stamp Release Blog Hop!  We have been sharing sneak peeks all week and today Kimberly is releasing all 5 fabulous new stamps sets to her store at My Craft Spot!  They are all so much fun!  I feel so fortunate to still be working with Kimberly and the rest of the talented My Craft Spot Design Team!

If you have come from Bobby's amazing blog then you are heading in the right direction!  If you are stopping by to see me today (thanks), then you will not want to miss out on this!  Head back to My Craft Spot to start at the beginning!  There are so many amazing holiday projects along the way, not to mention Kimberly has given each of us on the Design Team a new stamp set to give away...YAY!  There are only 9 stops, so please join us and hop!

I really don't think this picture does this project justice!  Every family member who has caught a glimpse of this item has put in a special request for it to be their Christmas present!

I covered a CD tin with Cosmo Cricket papers and added a bouquet of bakers twine!  This Santa stamp is retired SU and is my absolute favorite, so when I saw the "Ho! Ho! Ho!" stamp and knew what I had to do!

I think I mentioned earlier this week that I have a thing for gift tags!  This gift set gives me a perfect excuse to use almost EVERY sentiment in the new Jingle All the Way stamp set and the "To/From" are from Merry Christmas!  I LOVE when I can get this much use out of a stamp set in one shot!!

This is what they look like all nestled into their tin!  I am going to have to make a few more of these sets or I will have a couple disappointed people come Christmas!

So now that you have seen my project, who would like some Blog Candy!  Kimberly has given me her new 'Tis the Season stamp set to give away to one lucky winner!  All you need to do is leave a comment telling me which new set is your favorite!

I've taken enough of your time, although I do appreciate your visit!  Your next stop is Marlene at Scrappin' Cookie!

Here is the entire line up in case you get lost along the way!
Blogs on the hop:

I hope you enjoyed my projects this week!  Here is the recap in case you missed them!  Thanks for stopping by and Happy Holiday Crafting!!!

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party Day 5

TGIF!  Day 5 here of the My Craft Spot Holiday/Winter Stamp Release Party!  Are you in the Christmas Spirit yet?!?  Well, if not, there are only 51 days left...YIKES!!  Time to get to work!  Last week we had a suprise and rare October snowstorm!  Watching my girls build a snowman was enough to get me in the spirit!  Speaking of the snow, today at My Craft Spot we have another fun stamp set we are sneak peeking called Winter Wonderland!!  Here is what that snow storm and this fun stamp set inspired!

I love Camping Critters so of course I couldn't leave it out when creating a Winter card for this release!  I think the frames on that cartridge work perfectly for card bases!

I shaped my sentiment to fit the curve of the landscape!  That is one of the things I love most about clear stamps!

I picked my color combo for the card based on this new denim bakers twine at My Craft Spot!  After I was finished adding all the extra's to my card and layering it together, I covered the white snow with a coating of Crystal Effects to give it an icy finish!  Does it make you think "Brrrr..."?

So, that is it!  My last sneak peek for the week!!  Tomorrow is the day that Kimberly will be revealing all 5 stamps sets!  Please join us for the Hop starting at My Craft Spot  for your chance to win one of the new sets!  Thank you Kimberly and the Design Team for a super fun week showcasing these beautiful sets!  The inspiration from the team has blown me away!  Thank you to everyone who has stopped by to take a closer look at my work and an even bigger thank you to those of you that take the time to read and leave your comments!  See you tomorrow!

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party Day 4

Happy Thursday!  Today is day four of the My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party!  We are sneak peeking another beautiful set today called Merry Christmas!  I'm so excited about this set (although I may have said that everyday so far this week)!  I can tell you this, there are so many great sentiments in this set!  I really can't wait for all of you to see these on Saturday!

The second I saw this sentiment, I knew I wanted to use this cut for my Christmas card today!  It is from the Inspired Hearts Cricut Cartridge and I stretched it on my Gypsy!  I have a ton of these long envelopes so I figured I should use them this year!

The color combo was inspired when I looked at my table and saw a pile of Crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot that included Vintage Pine, Acorn and Harvest Wine.  I had to pair those colors together for a card this week!  The ribbon is the Harvest Wine Crinkle Ribbon and I tied on some Vintage Bakers Twine with a button.

The layers are all popped up with dimensionals and the borders are glittered with Dazzling Diamonds from SU.  If I decided to mass produce this one for some of my Christmas cards, I may eliminate the glitter.  I do love the way this turned out, glitter or not!

There is only one day left of sneak peeks.  Saturday, Kimberly will be releasing all 5 of the stamp sets at My Craft Spot along with the Design Team Blog Hop where you'll have a chance to win one of the new sets at each stop!  Are you excited yet?  The entire Design Team have created some amazing Holiday inspiration this week, so make sure you stop by and visit them too!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Goodmorning Everyone!  We are halfway through the week-long Stamp Release Party over at My Craft Spot!  Have you seen all the beautiful projects Kimberly and the Design Team have sneak peeked so far this week!  There is still more to come!  Today we are sneak peeking the new set called 'Tis the Season.  This set is soooo much fun!  Here is my 'Tis the Season project!

The little decorations on the tree is made of peppermint stick bakers twine from My Craft Spot.

The ribbon is My Craft Spot and the tree is from Christmas Cheer Cartridge.

I love this card so much that it may be my Christmas card for this year!   At least one of them...hehe!  I just may need to tweak the papers a bit because it is retired stampin up!

Make sure you stop by My Craft Spot everyday this week for a chance to win and stop by on Saturday for the My Craft Spot Blog Hop where each member of the Design Team will be giving away one of the new stamp sets!   Below are the links to the rest of the Design Team so you can check out the info on their sneak peeks!  Thanks for stopping by today!
