My dear friend Sonia has a wonderful tutorial on how to make this creation HERE! Her and her little assistant's card is much more detailed! You must check it out! Let me show you our fun in making this!
We started with these frames. I used my Gypsy to cut rectangles with frames from Once Upon a Princess. The little Wizard of Oz die-cuts are from my LSS and are made by Paper House Productions.
Here is Oldest E working on coloring her frames...
....and Middle E working on hers!
Outer frame - Oldest E used the Wizard of Oz Die Cuts and some Wizard of Oz Chipboard stickers to create her scene then faux stitched her border....
Next frame she gave the Scarecrow a cornfield to stand in....
Next, Oldest E gave the Tin Man some apple trees....
and the Cowardly Lion got a forest (she wanted to do lions, and tigers and bears but couldn't fit them on the frame)....
Middle E did the Wicked Witch and her flying Monkey! She is obsessed with the witch!
After all the frames were done, we stacked them on top of each other and Oldest E added a few more of the chipboard stickers that went with the characters. When they went for their naps, I followed Dr. Sonia's tutorial (See HERE - thank you Sonia) to build the tunnel card! Below is the finished card at different angles!
Here are the girls after their nap. The were admiring their work and absolutely thrilled with how it turned out!

Your girls are so adorable and so is your project. Your girls look like that had fun making it. I have to admit, I do not like the movie Wizard of Oz. Call me crazy but when I was a kid the witch would scare the poop out of me and now as an adult I just can't watch it. Do you have something that happened when you were a kid that just brings back bad memories as an adult? A song or movie or smell or something? Well for me that's clowns and Wizard of Oz. I tried when my oldest daughter was younger to watch it, we even had the DVD but I just couldn't do it. We haven't watched that movie in 8+ years. :-(
Your project is awesome though and so great you and your girls could make something together. :-)
Oh Amber so wonderful of you to have each daughter create a scene!! You are awesome. I just about manage with one little girl!! The result is fantastic and its so nice to see them peering through their tunnel card!
Wow, what a super fun card and project. I love how you get the girls involved in crafting. My three year old loves it and tries to help but she is still a bit young. Please let the little ones know what a great job they did with each of their part. I really like how the witch page was done with the scribbling around..makes it look she flew around the page.
I TOTALLY love this project!! The girls did a FAB job and I TOTALLY have to try that!! Be sure to tell them I enjoyed their project and they have 2 thumbs up!! :)
Hugs,
Tanya

This is a great project Amber, tell the girls they did a fabulous job on their parts!! I remember that Wizard of Oz party you did all that stuff for, I think that's when I started following your blog, the party things you did were incredible!!!
Your girls are absolutely precious! I love that movie, but not when I was their age…those flying monkeys are way too scary for me :)
Great family project. Kudos to your girls on their mad crafting skillz…clearly they get their oodles of talent from their mama!
Love the Wizard of Oz tunnel card! And even more I love the pic of the Es admiring it! Too cute!! :) ~Jen

Ohhhh mama Amber, I can TOTALLY relate to your day yesterday!! I had one of those days too and by the end of the day, I was bawling. I bathed my kids, grabbed a cold beer (which I never do) and went outside to talk to my husband while he worked on fixing a combine. It was very relaxing until I heard one of them from the door yelling MOOOOOOOOOM!! I came racing around the corner to see what was wrong and he said..."oh, I was just checking to see if you were still outside"!! Today has been much better...I hope it stays that way! I hope your day is much better too! I agree w/ loving being a SAHM, but I can be just a little stressful some days! :) Love your project and the Wizard of Oz, by the way!! :)
Wonderful creation, they did a great job!
Hugs Julie P
