A HUGE Thank You for Several Awards

I don't even know where to begin with this!  I feel so blessed to be able to share my creations with all of you but what makes it even sweeter are the wonderful crafters, family and friends that stop by to visit!  I have never asked anyone to follow me, and I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you to each and every one of you that stopped by, saw something you liked, and clicked that button!  Without the encouragement and friendships, I don't know where I would be right now.
This past week, I've received 9 awards and I want to make sure to acknowledge these wonderful ladies who have shared them with me in a special way.
This award was passed onto me from Jen at Musings of a Crafty Mom.  I met Jen through Cooking with Cricut where she is a Design Team member.  I just love each and every one of the wonderful creations that Jen cooks up and I love to see when she stops by with her uplifting comments!  She created the funniest creation this week for the challenge so if you haven't seen it, you must stop by and say hi!

Award details...
This award was created for bloggers who have fewer than 300 followers, but still put a lot of love and heart into their work. It is given to bring light to new blogs and it's a great way to share blogs that might not otherwise be seen or ones you want to share with others.

As a recipient you must share the love and pay it forward by:

1-Creating a post where you blog about the Liebster award and reveal your 3-5 blog picks.
2-Let them know you chose them by leaving a comment on their blog.
3-Copy and paste the blog award on your blog.
4-Have faith that your followers will rally/show their crafty love back out to those you awarded this to.
5-Have fun!
I have received 7 of these from so many talented ladies.  It is very humbling to know that you ladies thought of me when you received these.  I am going to list these in the order that I received them.
Cheryl from The Craft Nut @32  I've just recently discovered Cheryl's blog.  One of the things that drew me into her blog (aside from her craft) are her Daily Blessings on her side bar.  She, like myself, has a new blog where she is sharing some wonderful projects including her first Mini Album!  It is a very gorgeous album that you must see!   Thank you Cheryl!
Lisa from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon Lisa is one of my fellow DT members at Celebrate the Occasion and I feel so honored to be working with someone with her talent.  Every one of her creations are so bright and cheery and they honestly could bring a smile to anyones face!  I love stopping by to see her work!  Thank you Lisa!
Diana from DL.Art Diana is another one of my teammates over at Celebrate the Occasion.  She is a friend of everyones and she always leaves a nice comment with an invitation to come visit her!  She has some great videos on her blog!  Congrats on reaching your 200 followers and Thank you Diana!
Rae from Wahoo Crafts Rae is one of my new blogger friends and I can't wait to see more of her fun creations!  I regret not clicking her link from the Fantabulous Cricut Design Team earlier because I was in awe of her amazing creations when I finally visited!  Thank you Rae!
Judy from Crafty JAR Judy is another one of my talented teammates at Celebrate the Occasion and she is one that I have been following for quite some time!  She has been posting some fabulous work and I especially love her wonderful LOs!  Thank you Judy!
Martha from the Card Boutique Martha is very, very talented in what she does!  Not only does Martha do wonderful cards and invitations, but she also does awesome parties.  Now when I say awesome, I mean AWESOME!!  I was taken away the first time I saw some of her work and I am linking you directly to some of her party masterpieces!  Make sure you browse through her blog because there are more and I know you'll be very happy you did!  Thank you Martha!
Rayna and Paper Panther from Purple Peep Techniques Rayna and Paper Panther are yet another set of my fellow DT members at Celebrate the Occasion but they are also so much more.  These two talented ladies have been my most faithful and most encouraging followers and they have been with me cheering me on since the beginning of my blog!  I have loved visiting them from the start of my blog because they both post the most beautiful and inspiring pieces and I will continue to be their biggest fan!  Thank you so much Rayna and Paper Panther!
...Award details...
For the Versatile Blogger Award:
1. Thank the person who gave you this award and link back to their blog
2.  Share 7 things about yourself
3.  Pass the award to 15 other bloggers
4. Leave a comment so that they can pass along the recognition.
7 things about myself.  Well, I guess I'll share this little piece about myself.  This was a portion of a conversation I had with my very creative and good friend Kristie the other night.  She is the founder of my new Design Team, Birthday Sundaes.  "To me, it is not about how many followers you have, or how many people you can get to your blog.  I'm here to share my love for the craft with others who have the same passion.  I enjoy the fun of challenging myself with the challenges and I am so happy to have something to fill my time.  I have been trying to fill the void left by my father's passing and this has been a blessing.   It makes me smile seeing the wonderful talent out there and reading the bits and pieces people share about themselves and their life.  The more times I say wonderful, gorgeous, fabulous, and super cute, the better I feel.  It keeps my mind occupied when my kids are asleep or doing their own thing!"  There, that was 7 sentences about myself if anyone is still reading this incredibly long post!
And last but certainly not the least, this BFB Award was passed onto me from Julie at A Little Bit of Bling.  Julie is another one of my longtime (longtime being the 3 months we've been blogging...hehe...it's been so much fun) friends and I truly feel like she is one of my Best Bloggie Friends.  She is one of the sweetest people you'll meet out there in bloggerland and I feel very fortunate to call her my friend!   I'm so excited for her to be seeing and reading of the recent success of her new blog!  Congrats to you Julie!  You deserve it and Thank You!
...Award Details...
The rules of this award are:
1. Post about it on your blog with a link to the sender.
2. Pass it on to  those who visit your blog and leave comments regularly.
With that all being said, I must admit that I have a love/hate relationship with Blogger Awards!  I love them and I truly appreciate them but I never know who to give them to.  I make it around to so many places and you'll always know that I've visited!  There are way to many wonderful blogs to give them to and so many of my followers/friends are so deserving of these.  How do I pick and choose?  So many of you support me and encourage me everyday!   I am way to indecisive.  Technically, I have enough to pass on to each and everyone of my faithful followers but I'm sure I've taken up enough of your time with this post!!   For now, I am going to just pass on my Best Friend Blogger Award to my most loyal followers and friends Paper Panther and Rayna at Purple Peeps Techniques!   They live on the other side of the country from me, but I hope someday, we can meet in the middle and share some crafty fun!  Maybe CHA some year!!  Thank you each and every one of you for these awards and make sure you stop by and show all these ladies here your love!

Snappy Birthday LO

I couldn't sleep tonight so I thought I would throw together a quick LO for a few challenges using my Imagine!

Now I have no clue why I did another page for my Middle E's 3rd Birthday.  I already completed an entire scrapbook for that birthday (Click Here and scroll to the end of this post if you would like to see it)!  I started with a sketch for the PKS challenge but I strayed from it!  Oh well!  You can never have to many scrapbook pages..hehe!

I used the Hopscotch Imagine cart and Life's A Beach for most of the LO.  I did pull a few pieces from my scrap pile.  For some reason, I have double the amount of blue scraps than any other color so I felt the need to use some of them for the water!

I printed this cute little guy out using Hopscotch but I didn't think he popped enough.  I decided to heat emboss him with Red Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder.  I wish you could see it better in the pic but I love the way he turned out!  I stamped a My Pink Stamper Stamp on a label because I thought it was a cute addition!

The title is all printed and cut using the Hopscotch Cart and the banner is from a leftover scrap piece from the LO.  I'm still trying to use my scraps up for Sonia's challenge at Scraps 4 Fun!  I've been putting a pretty good dent in the pile.  Sometime this week I will tally up how many projects I've done so far with them!

Now doesn't this palm tree make you want to pack your bags and head for the Beach!  After spending a few days this past week at the Great Wolf Lodge and Indoor Waterpark, it makes me want to head for the beach!!  I am ready for the warmer weather!  I actually had my Imagine and Expression both going at the same time for this tree!  The palms and sand are printed using patterns from the Imagine More Cards cart and the trunk was cut from scraps using the E!  I also gave my dear sewing machine some attention for this LO!

Challenges:
Scraps 4 Fun Use Your Scraps
Simply Sunday Challenge Pack Your Bags (I would love to head for the Beach...the Lake would do too!!)
Challenge Me Monday #52 Happy Birthday (Happy Birthday Robin and FCCB)
GAB Challenge #8 Your Favorite Technique (Embossing wet and dry for me!!)

Thanks for stopping by!

PS...Can you see my gadgets?  If I view a single post they are there but when I view my whole blog they are gone.  I haven't changed anything and it shows up fine when I go to my Design Page.  Where did they go?  Maybe it is a glitch with Blogger tonight.  I'll play with it later!  Thanks!  ***FIXED IT AND I REDESIGNED MY BLOG WHILE I WAS AT IT!  THANKS FOR YOUR HELP TO EVERYONE WHO RESPONDED!!!***

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #2

**Sorry Everyone!  This post had an error somewhere in the HTML that was affecting my gadgets.  Now I have my blog a big mess because of it!  I will be reposting it later when I figure out where the error code is!

OK, I think I fixed it!  I figured since I had my entire blog a mess that I would pretty it up a bit!  What do you think?  I have been holding out on doing it because my brother offered to design something for me, but I would have to change over to wordpress.  He is so much better with this kind of stuff but I just figured out blogger.  I am not ready to figure out how to use wordpress.   Enough of this and that.  On to the card.

I cannot believe it is Sunday already.  It means it's time for a new challenge at Birthday Sundaes!  First, I would like to thank everyone who joined us for our first week!  I saw one fabulous card after another!  Great job everyone!  I hope you will join us again this week!  Our challenge for this week is a Spring Birthday Card!  Have you seen the wonderful cards the rest of the Design Team created to inspire you?   Let's hope all these Spring Creations will jump start the season!  Here is my Spring Birthday Card!

Easter Card Orders

Springtime means Easter time!  For me that also means lots of orders for cards and Easter gifts.  Right now I have several orders coming in for Easter goodies, one of which is for 200 Bunnies!  YAY!!!  I know it would be so much easier for me if I just made a bunch of the same card in bulk, but I just can't do it !  Well, I can do it and I will for the order of 200.  I am pretty good at making things in bulk, but only if that is what the order calls for.  Otherwise, I like to give them a selection to pick from!  By the time Easter is over, I will not want to see another Bunny until next year!  This being said, for the next few weeks you are going to be seeing a lot of Easter projects!

I had originally embossed a single bow for this little gift box card, but it just didn't pop.  I then decided to cut it out in several sizes.  I added dimensionals to the first 2 layers and curled the top 2!  I really like the dimension I got from this a lot better!

The inspiration for this came from the Flaunt it Fridays Challenge to use the Birthday Bash Bunny w/ Present.  I do not have that cart and I racked my brain to come up with a creative way to use another similar cut!  I decided to flip the choice cut and have the present holding a bunny!!  I love how it turned out!

  • Scrap pile CS and Paper (I am pretty sure the pink is CTMH)
  • Stampin' Up! Dimensionals and Stampin' Write Marker

Springtime in our house means the start of Grilling Season.  As soon as Daylight Savings Time hits, my husband feels the need to grill almost every night (even when it is still freezing outside)!  Next week is my hubby's Birthday and he is getting a new grill!  I thought it would be appropriate to make him a LO for it!  He even came up with the name for this page!  I think he did a pretty good job!  I can't wait to get some pics of him with his new grill!

I've been wanting to use the burger and dog since the Simply Charmed cart came out!

I sponged both of them and popped them up with dimensionals!

Instructions for Thanks a Melon Bag (CTO #6)

Hello Everyone!  I figured out my camera problem!  The lens had little Baby E paw marks all over it!!  Easy fix!  As promised, here are instructions on how to make the Thanks a Melon Bag from my CTO #6 DT post!

The inside of this bag is just a little homemade box.

For the box, I start with a piece of CS that measures 7" x 6 1/2".  I used my Martha Stewart Score Board to score the 7" side at 1" and 6" turned it and scored the 6 1/2" side at 2 3/4" and 3 3/4" (dashed lines).  I cut the tabs in the center of the 6 1/2" side (solid lines) and then folded on my scored lines.

I flipped it over to the outside of the box and placed adhesive on the center tabs.

I prefer Glue Dots brand Glue Lines when I make boxes or bags because I like the steady hold I get with them but you can use your preferred adhesive.  I then flipped it to the inside of the box and placed adhesive along the side panels on half of the box.

If using glue lines, remove backing from adhesive and fold the box side that does not have adhesive up to meet the tabs.

Remove backing from adhesive on side panels and fold up to create the open ended box.

For the handle, mark the sides of the box at 1/2" down and 1/2" across (just a dot, not the 1/2" or lines).

I used my Crop-A-Dile to place a jumbo brad from Stampin' Up! on the marked sides of the box.

This is what the finished open ended box looks like (minus the markings on the inside)!  Add a strand of ribbon to make the handle.

I then cut my Watermelon out at 4" from the Simply Charmed Cart and adhered it to my box to make this cute little bag!  I filled a Large Stampin' Up! Cello Bag with candy watermelon slices, added a tag and gave it away as a Thank You gift!

I hope you like it and I hope you can understand the instructions.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  The challenge is in full swing at CTO so if you haven't yet, create a card, layout or project and post by Sunday, March 27th, 11:59pm (EST).  Challenge #6 is to make a Thank You with a Tag.  The winner will be selected and entered into the monthly drawing.  March's prize will be "ROCK PRINCESS" cricut cartridge!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cute as a Bug Birthday Card

Another non-Cricut Project for today!  Without power, I was forced to stamp!  I've been using my Cricut so much lately, that I forgot how relaxing it is to just sit and stamp!  I'll be entering this card into one of my new favorite challenge blogs GAB!  They are so sweet over there!  This week their theme for challenge #7 is Birthday!  I thought I would stamp a birthday card for a little friend who is into bugs!  I knew the Stampin' Up! Bugs & Kisses set would be perfect for this little bug catcher!

I had to take 15 pictures just to get these 3 decent ones (silly camera)!  I'm thinking I may need to pull out the book and see if there is something I am missing!  Once I get it fixed, I will be keeping it far from the reach of Baby E!

I used my Stampin' Write Markers to stamp the dragon fly and popped it up with some dimensionals!  The grass is from SU Inspired by Nature Stamp set (it is one of my favs)!

The "cute as a bug" was left over from a previous project and it just happened to work perfectly for this card.  If I remember correctly, I believe it was heat embossed with glitter embossing powder.  I stamped the base of the card with the dragon fly using VersaMark.  I love the way it turned out!
Sorry it is not your typical Birthday Theme for a little girl, but this card is so her!  I was thinking maybe I should save it for a spring/summer challenge but then I figured it would be fun to share!  This could easily be done in blues/greens and make it for a little boy too!

Punch Flowers LO

We spent most of the day without power so we could not use Cricut today.  In light of the situation, I have a LO using all Stampin' Up punches! My daughter's just loved working on this one!  They love punching out bits and pieces of paper!  They even picked out the pics for it!

Sorry for the bad pic.  My camera is still not working right.  Most of the pics come out blurry like this one.  I tried taking pics of the individual pages but they did not come out at all.  The real bummer for me is that we went to the Great Wolf Lodge and Waterpark this past weekend which was a great opportunity for some awesome scrapbook pictures.  I only ended up taking 48 pictures and most of them are too blurry to use.

Products Used:
  • K&Co Berry Sweet Paper (Background)
  • CTMH scrap papers
  • Stampin' Up! scrap papers
  • Stampin' Up! Punches

Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #6

Hello Everyone!  It's Tuesday, so it's time for another challenge at Celebrate the Occasion!  This week Design Team #2 has some wonderful inspiration for you!  The challenge this week is Thank You and the twist is, it must have a tag.  Here is my project.

I made a special thank you gift. It is a little gift bag!  I made a basic open-ended box and sandwiched it in between two watermelons (Simply Charmed).  Add a little ribbon, a tag, some goodies and voila...a sweet little gift bag!  I have those delicious watermelon slice candies in the cello bag!

Products Used:
  • Stampin' Up! CS, Ribbon and Cello bag
  • Simlpy Charmed Cricut Cartridge (watermelon)
  • Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut Cartridge (tag)
  • Stickles
  • My Pink Stamper Fruit & Veggie Puns
I apologize that I do not have more pics, but my Baby E really messed my camera up last week.  I will post more pics, and details on how to re-create this fun little bag later this week, so please stop back!  Make sure you stop by Celebrate the Occasion to check out the rest of the Design Teams projects and link your "Thank You with a Tag" project by this Sunday March 27th (11:59pm EST) for a chance to be entered to win the March prize "Rock Princess Cricut Cartridge".

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #1

It's an exciting day!  Today is the opening challenge for the new challenge blog BIRTHDAY SUNDAES!!!  These challenges are going to be so much fun because we all need Birthday cards!  The challenge this week is Anything Goes Birthday and the Design Team has some fun cards to inspire you today!  Kristie, the founder of Birthday Sundaes will be sponsoring the prize this week.  This week you'll be playing for the chance to win the super cute Cupcake Ruby from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps

Here is my Birthday Sundaes creation for this week!

I apologize for the light to dark pics this week.  My baby E got a hold of my camera and did some major damage to the settings!  I have gotten it back to where the pics are not all blurry but I still need to work on it!  Anyway, I used Doodlecharms, an oldie but goodie cart for my first Birthday Sundae creation.  I dug into my scrap pile for the Bo Bunny Sun Kissed Line as well as the coordinating Double Dot paper for this fun card.

I added tons of dimensionals to get lots and lots of layers.  This isn't a card that is going to be mailed to anyone, that is for sure!!  I may even have a hard time giving it away!

If you've visited my blog lately, you'll see that I've been playing with ribbon in some different ways!  This cut has a little topper but I wanted something bigger, so I used my scissors to cut that off and added ribbon to the top!

And I added a little ribbon ruffle accent to the bottom of the hat too.

Here is an inside look at the hat.  I sponged the circles, the bottom ribbon was sewn on and the top ribbons were taped onto this layer!

Products Used:
  • Stampin' Up! Solid CS, Ink, Ribbon(retired), Dimensionals, Birthday Stamp and Punches
  • Bo Bunny Sun Kissed and Double Dot Paper Lines
  • Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge (Party Hat)
  • B is for Boy Cricut Cartridge (Background)
  • Signo White Gel Pen
  • Michael's Ribbon

If you haven't already, stop by Birthday Sundaes to see all the creative cards from the rest of the DT and be sure to link up your fun cards!   I can't wait to see your "Anything Goes Birthday Cards" this week and please let me know you were here!  I love to hear from you!

We are packing up and heading out to the Great Wolf Lodge for a few days so I will see you again on Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Welcome Home LO

This week is Design Team #1's week to inspire you at Celebrate the Occasion!  The DT came up with some beautiful projects for Challenge #5!  The theme this week is New Arrival (new baby or puppy).  I love joining in the fun with my fellow design teammates so here is my New Arrival project for this week.  I made a 2 page LO using my Imagine and the Nursery Tails Cartridge.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear New Arrival is laundry...lots and lots of laundry!!  How does such a little bundle of joy create so many dirty clothes!!

My oldest E was 16 months when we brought her little sister home and she was thrilled with her.  The first thing she did was grab her new sister's hand and gave her a High Five!  Then she took notes and started taking care of her baby too!

My favorite part of being a new Mommy is all the snuggling!  I love the way newborns curl up on your chest in their fetal position and you can cup them with one arm.  That feeling is priceless and I am so blessed to have had three little gifts from heaven to snuggle!

I really wanted this LO to make an impact so I popped everything with dimensionals!  I just love the layers and I love the little wooden cloths pins that I found in my stash too!

Products Used:
  • Stampin' Up! CS, Dimensionals and Ribbon
  • Nursery Tails Cricut Cartridge
  • Nursery Rhyme Cricut Cartridge (title)
  • Martha Stewart Lacey Punch
  • Jolee's by You Clothes Pins
  • Signo White Gel Pen
If you haven't done so already, go to Celebrate the Occassion, check out the Design Team's beautiful projects and link up your New Arrival project by Sunday March 20, 11:59pm (EST).  Invite a friend to the challenge too!  We love to see all your cards, layouts and projects!  The winner will be entered into the drawing for this month's prize!  March's prize will be a Rock Princess Cricut Cartridge!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Uh-Oh...I'm hooked!!!

Yesterday I played with my first digi stamp.  I do not have Copic markers nor do I see myself being the proud owner of a set of them any time soon, so I'm coloring with what I have (and no it is not crayons)!  I have Stampin' Up! Stampin' Write Markers, Pastels, as well as Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Watercolor Pencils.  Besides using the markers to stamp with, I've never really spent much time playing with any of them.  I am going to need a lot of practice at this, but at least I do not have to find a place to hide these stamps...(sorry honey for taking your dresser to store my rubber stamps)!!
I am so happy that this crafting/blogging adventure I've embarked on this year has given me the opportunity to play so much with so many of my tools.  If you haven't noticed, I'm a little addicted to this!!  I see myself having an extra hour or so on my hands at night thanks to Daylight Savings Time (which I am not a fan of).  Unfortunately for me, my kids will still be up by 6am climbing the walls!!
Ok, so enough babbling!  I made a card tonight with one of my new digi stamps.  I found a few I liked at The Greeting Farm.  I love the instant gratification of these.  All you do is click a button and it is at your finger-tips to use, no waiting for UPS involved!!  This digi is called Freaky Flutter and the sketch is from GAB Challenge #6.

I told you that I am going to need practice with this coloring thing but I think she turned out pretty cute for being a newbie job! I pulled her arms out a little to look like she is reaching out for the butterfly!  I even inked the edges of the embossed piece with Whisper White Craft Ink.

Signs of the Time LO

I haven't had much scrapping time today but I did get the chance to make one Spring layout.  This is my Signs of the Time LO.

Last week I won Top Chef at Cooking with Cricut and won a free Digi Stamp!  I have to admit that I've never used Digi Stamps before.  I didn't even know if I would because I didn't have a functional printer.  Well, guess what...I sat up all night last night and got our printer to work with my laptop just so I could play with this Digi!  I wish I would not have done it on the first night of Daylight Savings Time but it is working!!  My coloring skills are a little rusty (I spend most of my time coloring with crayons these days) but I love how cute this little guy is!!

For the CWC challenge there needs to be a time piece on my project so I cut out the months of Spring from a calendar and popped them up on the sides of the title.  I cut the title from a scrap piece of tie dyed looking paper.  I love how it turned out!

This is the first and last time I've ever used Walk in My Garden.  I borrowed it from a friend so it is not loaded in my gypsy (definetly a cart you need the gypsy for)!  The flowers are so cute but they have so many pieces that need cut in different colors!

I can't wait for Spring so I can get some great pics of the girls out in the flower bed!!

Pink Flamingo Birthday LO

Finally, a post for last Mondays FCCB Challenge Me Monday.  The challenge was Tree Time and it really had me stumped...hehe (like my pun).  Over the last 2 weeks I've posted several projects with a tree as the main focal point but every time I tried this week, something completely different ended up on the paper.  Well, I made this today and it has trees on it so I guess it will have to do.  I made this for our Goddaughter's 2nd Birthday.  Her Mommy threw her a fun Pink Flamingo Birthday Party this weekend!  It was so much fun and all the kiddos had a blast!  I wanted to make her something special to go in her scrapbook for her special day!

These were the awesome cupcakes her Mommy made for the party!  Aren't they adorable!  They were delicious too.  They were strawberry cake and icing made from scratch...mmmmm!

I was excited to wake up this morning and see the CCCC#9 Challenge is Life's a Beach so I can share this over there too!
