Uh-Oh...I'm hooked!!!

Yesterday I played with my first digi stamp.  I do not have Copic markers nor do I see myself being the proud owner of a set of them any time soon, so I'm coloring with what I have (and no it is not crayons)!  I have Stampin' Up! Stampin' Write Markers, Pastels, as well as Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Watercolor Pencils.  Besides using the markers to stamp with, I've never really spent much time playing with any of them.  I am going to need a lot of practice at this, but at least I do not have to find a place to hide these stamps...(sorry honey for taking your dresser to store my rubber stamps)!!
I am so happy that this crafting/blogging adventure I've embarked on this year has given me the opportunity to play so much with so many of my tools.  If you haven't noticed, I'm a little addicted to this!!  I see myself having an extra hour or so on my hands at night thanks to Daylight Savings Time (which I am not a fan of).  Unfortunately for me, my kids will still be up by 6am climbing the walls!!
Ok, so enough babbling!  I made a card tonight with one of my new digi stamps.  I found a few I liked at The Greeting Farm.  I love the instant gratification of these.  All you do is click a button and it is at your finger-tips to use, no waiting for UPS involved!!  This digi is called Freaky Flutter and the sketch is from GAB Challenge #6.

I told you that I am going to need practice with this coloring thing but I think she turned out pretty cute for being a newbie job! I pulled her arms out a little to look like she is reaching out for the butterfly!  I even inked the edges of the embossed piece with Whisper White Craft Ink.

LOL!!! It's easy to get addicted to digis!! I need to use mine more often.

I think you did a great job coloring. Before I got into Copics I used to use the prismacolor pencils and before that I used the Stampin Up watercolor pencils. I have some of the SU crayons but was never very successful with them...maybe I'll have to give them another try!

Hi Amber,
Your card is really nice--and I think your coloring is amazing--love the face and eye work. I stink at coloring, so I just love yours!
Thank you sooooo much for playing along in my Simply Sunday Challenge.

K Andrew

Hey, Amber... Glad to see ya aren't floating down the river with all the rain!! :)

I have not plunged into the world of digital stamping yet -- I figure I don't use my regular stamps enough!! But I've enjoyed seeing what you're coming up with. :)

Thanks for all your lovely comments this past week -- Yep, I'm almost back to 100% health (I hope)...
